(Chapter 133) Poison.

After just defeating Stiven, Noire continues her route towards her objective, but without a map, she finds herself in another district.

NOR: Dammit, I can't even make it through! Rhett is gonna have all the fun without me!
AKU: Stop complaining, Bette, you look very weird when you're pouty.
NOR: But I'm lost!
AKU: We'll find our way eventually. Meanwhile, we have to make sure we get through alive.
NOR: Alive? Akumu, don't be such a joker. Of course we'll make it alive!
AKU: *sigh* You've got high hopes considering you died your previous fight.
NOR: That was just a fluke!
AKU: Mhm, sure it was.
NOR: I swear!
AKU: Whatever...

Noire and Akumu fight eachother on who's right and wrong. In the distance, footsteps can be heard.

NOR: I'm telling you It was just a flu-
AKU: Shh, do you hear that?
NOR: Hmm? What is it?
AKU: Someone's nearby.
NOR: An enemy?
AKU: Possibly, stay alert.

Noire summons her axe and listens carefully. The sound of rustling leaves and bugs fills the silence.

NOR: Now that you mention it, this place gives me the creeps. What is up with this atmosphere?!
AKU: This part of town looks run down... abandoned. I wonder what happened to cause this.
NOR: Akumu, I don't think I wanna know.
AKU: Huh? Bette, are you okay?

Akumu looks at Noire, who's face is covered with an expression of fear. Akumu gets worried.

AKU: (It's the first time I've seen her so scared. Wait, she's... scared, but that's impossible... she's fear in of itself! So what possibly could be happening?!

The sound of a wire being cut and an arrow being released can be heard from inside the bushes. Catching Noire completely off guard, it penetrates right through her soul. Off its' tip drips poison.

AKU: (Shit! She's completely out of it! Seems like I have to take control for now!)

Akumu takes over Noires' body and goes on the defensive. More arrows are fired from every angle but Akumu manages to block them with its' axe.

AKU: You coward! Come out and face me!
*CLICK*

Akumu looks down and realises it stepped on a trap. Suddenly, the trees around start moving weirdly and storms of arrows descend from above.

AKU: Cascade of Fear.

Akumu releases a wave of energy that disrupts the arrows' trajectory, causing them to miss it.

AKU: *sigh* That was a close one.
*STEP*

Akumu turns around to the sound of footsteps.

RAN: I was looking forward to battling the harbinger, but I guess their underling will do.
AKU: U-underling..?!

Akumus' expression changes into a furious look. Rainha looks unamused with her opponent.

AKU: I'll make you regret those words!
RAN: *sigh* Have at it, mindless dog.

Akumu clenches its' axe even tighter. Rainha gives a smug look at it, enraging it even more.
