(Chapter 85) For the future.

Far away from all the worries, in a once populated place, the underground, Asriel is looking at his old home one last time.

ASR: *sigh* Many memories were created in this place. It's sad to see them go.

Asriel walks through new home, looking around at everything that once was.

ASR: Things were simpler back then. We just used to play around and not think of tomorrow.

He squats down, looking at the golden flowers his father took care of.

ASR: Since the day we met, I couldn't stop thinking of you. After all, you're the only person I ever had that understood me.

Asriel gets back up and starts moving.

ASR: Everything changed the day you were diagnosed as sick. It felt like a part of me fell ill too.

Asriel arrives home.

ASR: I lost the only thing I wanted... and in turn... lost myself. Maybe dying beside you was the best way of going out... but I didn't go out. I got stuck as that flower for decades, watching as the world went on without the two of us.

He approaches the garden in which they played in.

ASR: Frisk succeeded on freeing the monsters, but I couldn't leave. I was destined to be stuck for all eternity... until now. You're back and I'm in my real body again. Everything seems to be going well... so I can't let them destroy it.

Asriel lies down on the flowerbed and closes his eyes.

ASR: Chara... I wish I could just spend all my life with you. Is that really too much to ask?

Asriel lets out a deep sigh.

GNO: Heya Azzy.

Asriel slightly opens his eyes to see who it is.

ASR: Oh, it's you.
GNO: Hmm? Why do you seem so sad?
ASR: It's nothing. I'm just having a rest.
GNO: A rest, huh? So that's why you came to this place? The place we used to play in?

Geno smirks. Asriel sighs.

ASR: Yes, Chara.
GNO: I heard everything you said by the way.
ASR: Eavesdropping as always. You haven't changed one bit, have you?
GNO: I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it.
ASR: Ughh, just leave me alone.
GNO: Azzy, I know you. I knew this is where you would be because this is where you always came to when you were feeling down.

Geno squats down to talk to Asriel.

GNO: I want this to stay as much as you do but we're adults now. We have to fight for what we want.
ASR: Chara...
GNO: If we give up now, there won't be a place to play! A place to spend time together! So, Asriel Dreemurr... will you join me and the rest in this battle against evil?!
ASR: I don't...
GNO: Or will you stay and watch as the place you call home gets destroyed by them?!
ASR: I want to fight alongside you!
GNO: Then grab my hand and get up!

Geno extends her hand out. Asriel grabs it and the two of them smile at eachother. Their souls are burning with determination.
