Throughout time and space, the flow of the universe streams ever so freely. All is bound by its' rule but one facade of it is unbound by such rules. The void exists outside of the realm of reason, as time does not move and space follows no sense of logic...
GST: The realm of the forgotten, how reminiscent.
Creatures who have been forgotten, their end ultimately finds its' place here. There is no paradise, nor hell, just nothing, and yet, some creatures oddly find peace with this fate...
GST: First time I ended up here was because of my own arrogance, but now, I genuinely belong in this wretched place.
But throughout the nothingness that is the void, sounds of past friends echo...
SPT: Oy Gaster! We finally found you!
GST: "we"..?
The memories of a forgotten past come back to ones' mind when exposed to familiarity...
MKN: Already forgot about us, that's very unlike you.
PLT: We've got some stuff to do, ya know?
GST: Ah, that's right. Now I remember...
And with those memories flooding back, maybe there's a slight chance, they could relive all of those moments in their lives, or better I should say, relive a life they wish they could've lived.
GST: The world may have forgotten about us... but that doesn't matter. For we have eachother, and that's never gonna change.
TRS: We're a pair of weirdos, aren't we?
SPT: But that's okay. We've learned to live with that, and now, we learn to die without regret.
A soul passing without a slither of regret is a rare sight, not because they happen so rarely, but because those souls are the ones who actually get forgotten. A pure demise to an otherwise impure life. But that's not all there is to our universe. With the exception of the World of the Living and the hub of the afterlife that was destroyed, Infinity Realm, along the other faces of the universe, Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and The Void, there exists yet another realm of reality, C.O.D.E, the realm of data.
CHR: Damm that pink haired maniac!
C.O.D.E works differently from the other realms. If the other facades represent the living, the dead, and the forgotten, then this one represents the backbone of it. The universe would not be able to function without C.O.D.E, because it is the foundation for everything else. The simplest of things have their own representation in C.O.D.E.
CHR: Frisk needs my help! There's no way she can take them on by herself!
There is no escape from C.O.D.E, since escaping it would mean escaping the universe itself... but in the case that someone with the ability to rewrite the foundations came around... C.O.D.E is nothing more than a playground for them.
CHR: Without that crazed doctor to aid, there's a small chance of this working, but I have to give it a try! Please, for the worlds' sake, allow me to alter the [ROOT]!
However, trying to change the foundations without proper ability and experience can lead to unforeseen consequences. For what those consequences could be, they'll only start to be unveiled as time flows.

Gaster actually has never taken control over Geno,
instead he operated as the brains whilst Chara operated
as the brawns. True teamwork at its' best!
