In a province far away, there exists a city deep into the wilderness. Rumors say that its' people still believe in ancient ideologies. The knight who guards them is a simple man. He takes life easy and doesn't sweat much, even in the face of danger.
LYD: *yawn* You're telling me that they've already killed three of the knights?
KMI: I don't like the way you're dealing with this information sir.
LYD: Komi please... as my secretary, you should know that as long as I'm here, the city is safe.
KMI: *sigh* Your ego sees no bounds, Loyd.
LYD: If you're done with the report then you're dismissed. I'm going to take a nap if you're done.
KMI: Alright sir... bye.
LYD: See you later.Komi leaves the room and Loyd is left staring outside the window, looking at the city.
LYD: (Komi... if only I could tell you how I really feel... about my colleagues... my friends. I'm not acting indifferent out of ego, but out of feelings. My fellow knights and you are the only family I've ever had, and now they're being killed one by one. I stay here doing nothing. I am weak... pathetic... a coward. I'm not fit for a knight. If only I had Frisks' will to fight... to protect. Then I could actually be of use and not just stay around doing nothing. I only became a knight because I happened to be the reincarnation of justice. I'm sorry everyone, but I can't save you... let alone defeat them.)
Outside the quarters, Komi is talking to their majesty, who just arrived.
KMI: Your majesty! Welcome!
ASG: Please Komi! No need! We've come to help everyone out so you don't need to treat us as such.
KMI: I apologize! I should've known better! It's just I'm very honored to meet you!
TRL: And we're pleased to meet you!
ASG: Is Loyd available?
KMI: Of course! He's expecting you in his office! Right this way!Komi guides Asgore and Toriel to Loyds' office, whose already fallen asleep.
KMI: My apologies. LOYD!
LYD: *startle* Oh yeah what's up?
KMI: Their majesty is here!
LYD: Cool. You can go, I can handle this myself.
KMI: Yes sir.
ASG: So Loyd, sorry for disturbing your nap.
LYD: It's alright. I should be sorry for sleeping on the job like that.
TRL: Don't stress it! We know someone else who also sleeps on the job just like you.
LYD: I'd love to meet him. Anyways, welcome again. I've been waiting for you to arrive so we can start the preparations.
ASG: Sorry for making you wait in that case!
LYD: No need to apologize. Speaking of preparations, I don't think we... need them.
TRL: What?! How can you say that?
LYD: Gall prepared and that didn't get him anywhere. We need to find another way to defeat the kid.
ASG: I have to agree with you there. As for how we're going to defeat them, do you have any ideas?
LYD: *smirk* I've got a couple you could say.End of Chapter XXXVII
