The light barely flows through the dark area. Noire slowly makes her way through the long and eerie part of the palace.
NOR: This place has a nasty smell, it makes me wanna puke.
Noire despises the aroma the area gives off. It's so dark, she has to focus to not trip, but through the sketchy shadows, Noire makes out an out-of-place figure.
NOR: Who's there?!
GNO: Has it been such a long time that you've forgotten, devil?
NOR: Hmm, nope. Nothing comes to mind.
GNO: That is more than suitable. No matter, I'll make you remember.
Geno unsheathes their blade and points it towards Noire.
NOR: Now that you mention it, I think I do remember-
GNO: Data Slice.
In the blink of an eye, Geno closes the gap between them and Noire. They swing their blade in a fluid motion. Noire, caught off guard, is unable to dodge. Genos' blade cuts right through Noires' body... but there's no wound. Noire dashes back and is shocked at the feeling that overcame her body at that moment.
NOR: (It was obvious. Their blade cut right through me... but w-why is there no cut?!)
GNO: Pondering on what that was? Let me explain it for you since it's obvious you lack intelligence. My attack, Data Slice, is no physical attack. Instead, infused with the power of my [ROOT], it cuts through the very fabric of your being. In other words, it wounds not your body, but your soul directly!
Noire takes out her axe and pauses for a moment, then smiles.
NOR: So that means you've gotten stronger?!
GNO: Precisely.
NOR: Then this is gonna be even more fun than last time!
Noire infuses the soles of her feet with chaos, giving her the ability to dash towards Geno in many different routes, at the same time. Geno looks around and grips their blade tight.
GNO: (Afterimages, I've dealt with them before.)
Geno locks eyes with one of the routes and dashes towards her, dodges under the axe swing and slices her body in half. They straighten back up and take a breather.
NOR: Don't get too cocky.
Noire appears behind Geno and swings her axe, which Geno barely manages to dodge.
NOR: As you can see, pale skinned freak, you're not the only one who's gotten stronger.
GNO: Very well, then I can't be holding back.
NOR: I woulda been offended!
Geno raises their blade and assumes their battle stance. Noire spins her axe and smiles like a maniac. The darkness of the area slowly starts to retreat.
