After thinking about it a lot, taehyung agreed. They started dating. A few weeks passed, and they both liked each other. They went on small dates together. Jennie's parents and seulgi knew she had a boyfriend but they didn't know anything about him. Whenever they asked anything, she said they will know it when they met him. Right now, Jennie and taehyung were in a cafe on a date.

Jennie: tae, I want to tell you something. Please don't tell to anyone else.

Taehyung: of course Jen, I would keep your secret safe.

Jennie: my parents, you know how much I love my dad right???

Taehyung: yeah... you've mentioned it a lot of times... your dad is your best friend... he gives the best advice and understands all your problems.

Jennie: well... he is not my real dad. He is my stepdad.

Taehyung: oh... it's ok... I know he loves you more than anyone else. He loves you more than anything.

Jennie: I know... and I know you would support this but I just need to tell you everything. No one outside my family knows this but you deserve to know it.

Jennie: my mum was sixteen when she had me. The guy who was technically supposed to be my father wanted nothing to do with me, so my mom told him that it is fine but he could never see me and her again. He agreed and left. My mom was a single mom. She brought me up alone. My grandparents didn't like her getting pregnant at sixteen so they kicked her out. She raised me alone while working any job she could. About 5 years ago, when both of us were financially, and emotionally stable... she started a start-up company... it was going very well. Then about three years ago, mom met my stepdad. They both were collaborating on a project, they fell in love. They decided to merge their companies cause my stepdad owns a vast and very successful company. they decided to get married. There was only one problem.

Taehyung: what???

Jennie: age gap... they have a huge age gap.

Taehyung: what is it?? Is your dad like 10 years older than your mom??

Jennie: quite the opposite. Mom is 8 years older than dad.

Taehyung: that means your dad is just 26 right now...

Jennie: yeah... but they got married nevertheless. And now the three of us are a very happy family.
