together at last

Jungkook ran to yoonmin's house. he took a deep to calm down his heart and rang the bell. a few seconds later, taehyung came onto the balcony. Jungkook hid the horn and the bouquet behind his back and looked above to see taehyung smiling.

taehyung: Jungkook? what are you doing here...? right now???

Jungkook: can you come down for a few minutes?

taehyung: yeah, wait for a few seconds.

taehyung went inside and opened the door a few seconds later. he was looking bewitching. he was not dressed up and all but just the casual look was enough to take Jungkook's breath away. the black shorts that revealed his thighs and the oversized white t-shirt were looking mesmerizing on him. his messy hair made him look riveting. his bare, make-up-less face was hauntingly beautiful. a small smile on his pink lips.

Jungkook looked equally breath-taking, filled with sweat. his hair was wet from all the sweat.

taehyung: hey...

Jungkook: hey.

taehyung: why are you here at this time of night? and ... did you run all the way here? why are you sweating so much?

Jungkook: I had to tell you something.

taehyung: couldn't you have waited till tomorrow? or called me?

Jungkook: no. this is very important.

taehyung: say.

Jungkook showed taehyung one of his hands that had the bouquet.

Jungkook: for you.

taehyung gasped... his eyes were now teary.

taehyung: baby's breath!!! you remembered!!

Jungkook: of course!!!

then taehyung realized the situation.

taehyung: what do you want?

Jungkook: I love you.

taehyung stopped breathing. he widened his eyes and looked at Jungkook in disbelief.

taehyung: what???

Jungkook: I love you. with every part of my heart. I tried to move on. I tried really hard. but... but Some part of me was always stuck on you. Why?? I have no idea. Maybe because you are the first person I've truly unconditionally loved. Maybe because you are the only one who's able to put me under this much hurt. No matter the reason, I could never stop loving you.

taehyung: do you even know what you are saying Jungkook? you are married and we are ... this all is not right.

Jungkook: ji-eun asked me a question a few days ago. it was... do I still love you? I then realized, for me, it was never a case of still loving you. I have never stopped. I tried to let you go, I told myself to think about everything you had done and all the ways you hurt me. But all I could think about was my smile in the mornings and the laughs late at night. you were the reason for that, you made my days better. Sure, you're going to have bad days but the good always outweighed them. I guess what I am trying to say is that you had my heart since the day we met, and as we fell apart, so did my heart. 

taehyung was tearing up.

taehyung: Jungkook pl-please und-understand... you are married. you lo-love ji-eun. n-not me.

Jungkook: I'm free. I'm free from all the responsibilities. and all the restrictions. I and ji-eun were never in love. in fact, she had encouraged me to go get you.

taehyung: what?

Jungkook: I'll explain everything later. for now, do you accept my love for you???

taehyung nodded while crying.

Jungkook: I have one more gift for you.

Jungkook gave him the blue French horn.

taehyung: the smurf penis!!!

they both hugged, both of them crying at this point.

taehyung: come in. please...

they both went inside. 

taehyung: so... 

Jungkook: ji-eun told me to pursue my true love...

taehyung looked down blushing. Jungkook went close to him and stood a few inches from him. he looked down at taehyung's lips.

Jungkook: can I???

taehyung nodded with red cheeks and a small shy smile on his face

Jungkook moved his face closer to taehyung. taehyung could feel his breath on his face. taehyung lifted himself on his toes, and Jungkook's face came down at the same time. their lips met. taehyung's lips were soft, softer than Jungkook remembered, but there was a hard desperation behind them, a need. The kiss spoke. It begged. it begged to be loved again.

the moment Jungkook's lips touched taehyung's, he knew... he knew that he could live to be a hundred and visit every country but he would trade all that for this kiss.

none of them moved. their lips touching. both of them were trying to take in the warmth, the happiness. warmth blossomed in taehyung's chest, sparks igniting as Jungkook started moving his lips. the smell of his perfume, the peachy scent of taehyung's conditioner was dizzying, butterflies dancing in taehyung's stomach. 

Jungkook's hands went to the younger's waist while his hands started playing with Jungkook's long locks. they pulled away a few minutes after. both of them smiling at each other. what they had was true love. and true love was a force so powerful that time and distance could not change it.

Jungkook: so... Kim taehyung, will you allow me to love you again?

taehyung: yes... and this time, I promise not to absquatulate.

Jungkook laughed.

Jungkook: what does that mean?

taehyung: absquatulate. it means to leave without saying goodbye.

Jungkook laughed.

Jungkook: I swear to go... you drive me crazy bun...

taehyung: bun!!!

Jungkook: you deserve to be called bun. and nothing else. and about absqutlae--- or whatever... forget leave without saying goodbye. this time I am not letting you leave.

taehyung: okay...

taehyung giggled. Jungkook looked at taehyung with a huge smile on his face and said.

Jungkook: There is nothing on earth more beautiful to me than your smile...no sound sweeter than your laughter...no pleasure greater than holding you in my arms. I realized today that I could never live without you, In this life and the next, you're my only hope of happiness. Tell me, taehyung, dearest love...how can you have reached so far inside my heart?

taehyung wiped his tears.

taehyung: gosh!!! stop making me cry!!! besides, I'm supposed to be the one saying deep quotes... I'm the author in us... 

Jungkook: you have rubbed off on me. I guess.

they both shared another kiss.
