Taehyung's pov

after the proposal, some soft music was played and we all danced with our partners. jennie with lisa, ji-eun with Jong-suk, etc. and me with jungkook. we were so happy and had so much fun. we had dinner while chatting and enjoying our time with each other. after dinner, we bid bye to everyone and they went to their houses. grandma went to Yoonmin's house. 

I and Jungkook went and sat in our car.

me: can we go for a walk?

jungkook: of course. where do you wanna go?

me: the beach?

and so we both drove to the beach. we got down from the car and started walking on the quiet mesmerising beach, holding hands. there was a comfortable silence between us. after walking for some time, we sat down in the sand. I kept my head on his shoulder and was enjoying the wind when he spoke.

Jungkook: I am sorry. I made you cry very much na?

me: just a bit. but, can you tell me why you did all of that?

jungkook sighed.

Jungkook: there are a lot of reasons behind that. I am really sorry. A lot of things were going on at the same time. the first and main reason was... I can't hide things from you. I really wanted to give you this surprise of engagement. the minute you look into my eyes, you know if I am hiding something. but there were many other reasons too. I am sorry again.

me: it's okay. what were they?

jungkook: first of all, convincing your grandma to leave Daegu and come here was very hard and took a lot of time and effort. then, convincing my parents was also really really difficult and sucked out all of my energy and patience. I also had to finish every single project going on in my office. and correct all the records, so that the Jeon Corporation is now the cleanest company ever. 

me: that must be hard. but why suddenly you had to finish all projects at the same time?

Jungkook: that's another surprise but I don't know how you will feel about that.

me: what is it??

jungkook: I am resigning as a CEO. and so is ji-eun.

me: what? how? why? didn't you love being a CEO and handling this company?

jungkook: my real passion lies in painting. and Ji-eun's in psychology. we both are still going to own the company and be on the board but just won't be the CEO and work in it.

me: that's.... great!!! you are finally going to pursue your passion.

Jungkook: there's this CFO of Jeon corporations who didn't want me to resign. If I resign, due to a contract... all assets which were going to be his son's would be someone else's. so he was blackmailing me for some things... he was going to sue me for a miscalculation done by me. It took a lot of energy and patience to deal with him. I know this not a reason enough but I was afraid that I'll take out my stress on you which was the last thing I wanted. So I distanced myself from you. I am sorry.

Me: It's okay... but you need to understand, when I accepted you, I didn't just love your happy moments and good qualities. I loved and accepted your insecurities, your faults, your anger issues, your problems. they are mine too. you can't spend your happy moments with me and your problems alone. you have to let me in.

Jungkook:  okay... I'll try.

we both were in the car, driving home.

me: how did you convince your parents to give their blessings to us?

jungkook: that is not important. the important thing is that they accepted us.

me: but still tell me.

jungkook: I don't know.

that night, we made love again with the same amount of passion for each other like when we made love for the first time.
