after yoonmin went to their bedroom, taehyung got up and went to the living room. he decided to do something productive instead of laying in bed, overthinking. he took out his college bag and opened his notebook. he decided to do the assignment given to him. he had to write an essay.

there were 4 topics given and he had to choose one of them to write an essay. he chose the topic to which he related the most. love.

 

Love is an emotion that we all yearn for. From the day we are born, we crave love. love is the most beautiful thing in this world. but love is a double-edged sword. as much beautiful as it is, it is equally dangerous. Greek mythology categorizes love into eight types.

 the first is storge. Storge refers to love between family members, like the love found between parents and children, between siblings. It builds a feeling of safety, security, and support for one another, as well as the joy that comes from having shared memories.

the second type is pragma. Pragma means long-lasting love. It's a love that has endured and matured over time and has meaning. This kind of love often involves compromises from both people in the relationship, as well as patience and tolerance - and the focus is more on staying in love, rather than just falling in love.

the next is Philia. Philia represents the love between friends, which can often be just as important as romantic love. it can mean love between equals, love connecting with the mind, and love between people who have shared hard times. this is also known as platonic love where physical attraction isn't a necessary part of love.

Ludus is a playful and affectionate type of love. This might mean the love and excitement you feel when you have a crush on someone or when you're first getting to know them. Ludus can mean flirting and teasing in the early stages of a relationship, but it can also refer to the playful affection between friends and between children.

 Agape is a spiritual kind of love, involving enormous empathy. This kind of love means that we accept, forgive, and trust others. Plus, the concepts of charity and sacrifice within agape can be thought of as 'the highest form of love', particularly in Christianity.

Philautia refers to self-love or self-compassion, and the Greeks thought that loving yourself meant you had a wider capacity to love others - something we could all still learn from today when it comes to self-care. Aristotle is thought to have said: "All friendly feelings for others are an extension of a man's feelings for himself."

mania is a type of love that is considered rather harmful. Mania can be a a jealous and obsessive kind of love. It often involves feelings of codependency, or the feeling that another person will heal and complete you. but it is an extreme form of love that is considered toxic.

the last type of love is Eros. eros is the word for romantic, passionate love. it is a fiery, intense form of love that arouses sexual and romantic feelings. people let go of their boundaries and get very physically and emotionally involved. This can be a time when people can't get enough of being with their partner or lover.

whatever the love form may be, it is tragically beautiful to witness and even more beautiful to experience. as said by Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched—they must be felt with the heart." it is very easy to fall in love with someone. But what is important is staying in love. if you don't stay in love, then it is not the love of your life.

this was the definition of love... what really is love? love is seeing all the flaws and blemishes and accepting them. love is accepting bad habits and working around them. love is knowing fears and insecurities and knowing your role is to comfort. love is working through all challenges and painful times. that is true love. and it is so strong that it rebirths itself from the ashes of its broken relationship. that is true love.

 love is pain. yes, love is perhaps the most painful thing in the world. but love is so beautiful, it makes the pain worth it. It's amazing how someone can break your heart and you can still love them with all the little pieces. love is unconditional. love is and always be ruthless.

but remember, One day you'll see the universe that was knitted into your bones, and the embers of galaxies glow to life in your eyes. And you will finally know what love feels like...
