they played some random movie on the tv and sat down. about halfway through the movie, taehyung excused himself. he got up and went to the kitchen. he took a bottle of beer from the kitchen and went to the balcony instead of back to watch the movie.
he stood on the balcony staring at the moon. that was his favorite thing to do. stare at the moon. he was standing there for a long time... meanwhile, the movie had finished.
Jungkook: where's taehyung???
Jimin: in the balcony... that's his safe place...
ji-eun: we should sleep... it's late...
jin: yeah...
ji-eun made sleeping arrangements for everyone... everyone went to sleep. Jimin had told everyone not to bother taehyung. he would go to sleep when he felt like it...
Jungkook was lying in his bed, tossing and turning. he couldn't sleep. he slowly got up, making his way to the living room. he found taehyung still in the balcony, looking at the sky. Jungkook went to him and said.
Jungkook: why do you love the moon so much???
taehyung: the sun and the moon are the symbols of true love.
the sun loves the moon so much
that he dies every night,
just to let her breathe.
and in return,
she reflects his love.
Jungkook: how do you manage to make every single thing get a deeper meaning???
taehyung: it's just something I do...
Jungkook: I wanted to tell you something.
taehyung: hmm.
Jungkook rolled the arms of his shirt making his arms visible.
Jungkook: I never removed our tattoo.
taehyung looked down at his wrist to see the tattoo they had gotten together still there. taehyung smiled.
taehyung: I thought you would remove it. when you got married and all.
Jungkook: that would be like removing my memories. we may have not ended well, but always remember... between the hello and goodbye, there was love.
taehyung: yeah.
Jungkook: can I ask you something?
taehyung: sure.
Jungkook: why did you break up? this question always killed me.
taehyung: some reasons. I can't exactly tell you those.
Jungkook: at first I thought it was because I was not good enough for you.
taehyung: that's not true.
Jungkook: but then I realized how broken you were the day before. I don't know why you broke up with me. but I do know that whatever we had... all that we had, was not fake.
taehyung: it was not. it was all completely real.
Jungkook: then why did you break up? I need to know. I need to clear all the self-doubts. I need the truth.
taehyung: koo.
Jungkook: please. I need to know.
taehyung: fine. you remember that day, I went to your parent's house??
