A FEW DAYS LATER

taehyung woke up in an empty bed with a huge pout on his face. he was alone in his house as jungkook had gone on a business trip. it was 5 more days till he came back from London. he got up and did his morning routine, wearing a casual outfit for college.

he was about to step out of the house when his phone rang. he saw it was jimin and immediately picked up.

taehyung: hello, jiminie?

jimin: I need you to stop right wherever you are right now. where are you?

taehyung: in my house. I was just about to leave for college right now. why?

jimin: you are going to do exactly as I say. please tae. please listen to me.

taehyung: what is happening? is everything okay? are you okay? is yoongi okay?

jimin: no one is hurt. I just need you to not leave the house. lock all the doors and windows and don't open the door for anyone. don't check your phone. I need you to switch off your phone immediately after this call. don't look at your notifications and all. just please do as I say. I'm coming over in a few minutes. please do this for me...

taehyung: okay. but why?

jimin: I'll explain everything once I reach. bye. I have to go.

taehyung was confused but nevertheless did everything he was told to. he locked everything and switched off his phone. he sat down on his sofa, thinking about what must have happened. Was anyone hurt? was jimin okay? was jungkook okay? he wanted to call and ask jungkook what had happened and if he was okay but he knew to trust jimin's judgment and follow his requests.

a few minutes later, he heard the keys turn and the main door opened, revealing a messy panicked jimin. taehyung got up and asked him what had happened.

jimin: sit down first. you need to sit down before seeing this.

they both sat down on the sofa and jimin opened his phone showing something to taehyung.

taehyung started shaking... jungkook was being labeled as a cheater. this was not fair... jungkook was nothing but loyal. he couldn't see this. he hugged jimin tightly and started sobbing loudly... 

he switched on his phone to see himself tagged in thousands of posts with jungkook with the caption 'jeon jungkook cheating on his wife'.

He didn't know what to do. Suddenly his phone rang. he saw it was ji-eun and immediately picked it up.

ji-eun: hello? taehyung? you there? are you okay? did you see the news??

taehyung was in no state to talk so jimin took the phone in his hand and answered.

jimin: hey ji-eun noona. it's jimin. I'm there with him. he is not okay but he is holding up. you okay? 

ji-eun: yeah. I'm good. look, we have to minimise this news and its impact. worst of all, jungkook is not in korea. we have to handle things before jungkook comes. we can't take any major decisions without jungkook here. 

jimin: yeah, okay. don't worry.

ji-eun: take care of taehyung. don't let him step outside the house, everyone knows his face. 

jimin: you take care too. with jennie and all. and please tell me if you need any help. I'll send yoongi over.

ji-eun: no, it's okay. I can handle things over here. the main thing is taehyung. he must be devasted. please tell him it's not his fault. 

jimin: yeah, okay. I've got to go calm taehyung down. take care. bye.

ji-eun: bye...

saying this, jimin kept the phone and continued hugging him. a few minutes later, the phone rang. jimin was going to cut it but saw that it was jungkook. 

jimin: hello? jungkook?
