taehyung lay awake the whole night, staring emptily at the ceiling. time seemed to slow down. he wanted to cry. he hated nights. he couldn't even cry at this point. tears were non-existent. 

he curled up in the blanket and listened to the clock ticking second by second. he couldn't take it anymore. he got up and went to the balcony again. everyone was still passed out. he put his headphones on and played some music. he stood at the railing looking at the night sky. he stayed there for god knows 20 minutes or 2 hours. the sky had started to become lighter. the sun had begun to rise. he admired the beautiful sun.

suddenly someone put a hand on his shoulder. it startled him. he looked back to see ji-eun. she smiled softly at him.

ji-eun: when did you wake up? it's quite early. I thought you would be having a hangover right now.

taehyung: woke up just a few minutes ago, and I'm good at dealing with hangovers.

ji-eun: okay.

she went and stood next to him looking at the sun.

ji-eun: you are an ideal boyfriend.

taehyung: huh???

ji-eun: I am observing you since yesterday and I've heard whatever jennie rants to me about you. from what I've seen, you are a good boyfriend who takes care well.

taehyung: thank you ma--  ji-eun.

ji-eun: I just wanted to ask you something.

taehyung: yes?

ji-eun: why are you dating jennie?

taehyung: what do you mean?

ji-eun: you don't love her. you like her... a lot. but those feelings are platonic if I'm not wrong. you are not in love with her. why are you dating her when you are in love with someone else?

taehyung was caught off guard.

ji-eun: I know you love someone else.

taehyung: that's not true...

ji-eun: I'm fairly good at reading people. I know you love someone else. then why are you forcing yourself to love her? I have no problem with you both dating but I don't want you guys dwelling on something that is not there.

taehyung: I have to move on, don't I? I can't be with the person I love. that is the truth. it would be better if I move on. so I am trying.

ji-eun: moving on doesn't mean forcing yourself to love when you don't. it's not fair.

taehyung: I know that but...

ji-eun: you know someone once said, "Don't find love, let love find you. That's why it's called falling in love. You don't force yourself to fall, you just fall"

taehyung: I guess you are right.

they stood in silence for some time when ji-eun broke it by saying something that shocked taehyung.

ji-eun: I don't know if he still loves you as you do, but you still have a huge part of jungkook's heart.

taehyung was speechless. how did ji-eun know he loved jungkook? what the hell was going on? this couldn't be happening. what if jungkook didn't love taehyung anymore but since ji-eun thought so, she would divorce him? he didn't want to be a homewrecker.

taehyung: wha- how? how did you know I love koo- I mean Mr. jeon? that's not true... there is nothing like that. you are misunderstanding everything.

ji-eun smiled.

ji-eun: I've seen too many love stories happen around me. I've seen how beautiful love is. but I've also seen how ruthless love is.

she paused for a moment.

ji-eun: jungkook told me. he told me how crazy you were about each other. how you loved each other to death.
