The next day, Kim and Ava passed out and had forgotten about the wedding, exhausted from the excess shopping, sightseeing and the long flight they didn't take a rest from. Their bags and shooting bags were shattered on the floor and their shoes were beside the bed. Kim had a white night robe around her that had almost gone off. While Ava slept in a large polo.
The bell dinged and Kim breathed, rolling away from Ava's arm. "Miss Cortes?" She heard an Arab lady call, suddenly her eyes opened, and she gulped, looking around.
"Miss Cruz?" The voice called again, and jumped out of the bed and rushed towards the door.
Kim pulled the handle open and a lady stood in a red suit with her hands folded at her front.
"You have a visitor, Miss Cortes," she said and moved away.
"Kimimela! It's Kim!" A soft voice called, Kim shifted her gaze towards the figure.
"Oh my goodness, Jamie!" She called loud enough to wake Ava. Kim hurriedly rushed to him, hugging him.
"Oh my goodness," Jamie pulled her back and took her hand, giving her a spin. "When I heard you were in Dubai I screamed! It's been like forever!" He said, brushing Kim's cheek, Kim laughed, but her laugh turned into a smile.
"How did you know I was here?" She asked, shutting the door gently.
"Girl! Don't pretend, Miran did," Jamie replied, rolling his eyes.
"He is in town?" She asked, and itched her hair with a small laugh, Jamie paused, staring at her.
"I heard what happened," He said, Kim's eyes flashed with curiosity. "About the breakup, he told me"
"Oh, that" she cleared her throat, and rubbed her arms.
"Kim?" Ava called with sleepy eyes, Kim darted at her and Jamie.
"Oh, Ava," she rushed towards her and pulled her arms, "This is Jamie, Miran's designer" She introduced.
Ava looked at Jamie, He dressed like a lady, with his nails painted and slight makeup he had on. His hair was styled backwards. He did look like a designer.
"Oh, it's my pleasure to meet you, I'm Ava Cruz" she stretched her hand and Jamie caught hers.
"My best friend," Kim interrupted. Ava looked at her with a lovely smile.
"Hold on, if you are Miran's designer, what are you doing here?" Ava asked Kim's eyes widened at the question, and she looked at Jamie waiting for a reply.
"He asked me to get a dress for you," Jamie replied, Ava's gaze turned to Kim and an awkward laugh escaped her lips.
"I don't think" Kim blinked, finding the perfect words. Miran had always done this even when she wasn't dating him, it felt like she was.
"They are already here," He said and walked towards the door. Kim's gaze followed him until he pulled the door opened and three ladies walked with the tray of clothes, and shoes followed behind them. Shock flashed through her eyes. Meanwhile, Ava seemed to be enjoying everything happening.
"But-" Kim interrupted, they paused and looked at her, Kim managed a smile and started "Shouldn't there be a dress code, I mean it's her-"
"White" Jamie clapped his hands and beckoned for them to come in.
The ladies passed Kim and Jamie crossed his arms with hers, taking her into the dressing room.
Kim sat on a white foamy stool watching Jamie apply her makeup himself, Ava and Jamie seemed to get along well and helped her pick a long pastel blue sleeveless gown and white heels that would probably never be seen.
