The sound of the sirens covered the hospital, Kim stood by the window of a long passage as she sipped the cup of coffee in her hands. She had just finished her night shift. It was five in the morning, the sun hasn't risen yet and the clouds were midnight blue and the moon was round and shining, cold air blew against her makeup-free face as she stared at the view of the city from the window. It'd soon be summer and she hadn't had the time to fix a wedding date, if there was a season she wanted it'd definitely be to be married in summer.

It was exactly one week since Miran had barged into her mother's house. Mexico was lovely but he had left the next morning after spending the midnight with Miss Cortes and her Abuela. Everyone including Ava knew how her mother was charmed by Miran's good looks, height and more over his wealth. It was every mother's wish to hand their daughter to the hands of a lovely, charming and rich man let alone a billionaire.

"What are you doing?" A huge sigh covered the passage calling her back to reality, she looked behind her, Ava stared at her, her eyes looking so exhausted, she took a deep breath before standing beside her.

"Taking a view of the city," she said with a small smile hoping to cheer Ava she had just stepped out of the washroom after a long night in the operation room.

Ava reached out for Kim's coffee and devoured it instantly, handing the empty cup to her.

"Come on, let's go home," she said and then paused, turned around and looked at Kim. That was true, Kim was moving out tomorrow and Miran should probably be in town already, he had volunteered to pick her up right after.

"Of course," Kim said after hesitating and then smiled walking towards her, she took her arms around hers and pulled her heading to pick up their things. "Why do you look sad?" She asked, teasing Ava.

"Is that a question?" Ava side glanced at her, and Kim's laugh echoed in the hallway.

After packing up, they stepped out of the hospital and Kim gasped at the sight of Tony, he immediately bowed slightly, "Miss Cortes?"

Kim took a quick scan around the hospital, and the door opened, her heart skipped but calmed seeing the empty backseat, she looked at him with a fake smile crawling her cheek.

"Why are you here Tony?" Ava asked, beating her to it.

"Mr Mayer asked me to give you a ride home," he said, Kim blinked, how in the world did he know her schedule, the time she would leave the hospital?

"Where's he?" Kim asked, noticing only one black Benz parked at the front of the hospital, she looked back at Tony.

"He's stuck in a meeting, an emergency," he said, Kim looked at Ava.

"Oh, that's okay... I have my car, Ava and I-" Tony didn't let her finish before explaining.

"Your car is home, Miss Cortes,"

"Kim, Kim please..." She replied, sick of him having to call her that way.

"Mr Mayer had me drive it home for you, Miss Cortes," Kim rolled her eyes, he had made it clear to her severally that Miran was Mr Mayer and she was Miss Cortes. "His house," he finished.

‘Home?' A smile nearly pulled her lips but she sucked them back. The sound of home was a lot pleasing, ‘Home’ and just like that, she had a home to return to and a lover to hold after an exhausting day at Love Hospital. Butterflies danced around her stomach and her heart jolted in happiness,

Ava's brows rose with excitement despite her tired look, she didn't want to waste any more time standing outside the hospital questioning him, she quickly pulled Ava and they got in.
