Anala & Evangeline entered the party arm in arm. Eva hadn't met any Hufflepuffs yet, and she was a little nervous because of that stupid article that RiTa SkEeTeR wrote about her.
She noticed more than a few eyes on her every now and then along with a couple whispers.
"Is that Vampire Potter?!"
"What's she doing here?! She's in Slytherin!"
Anala left to use the restroom, so Eva stood in the corner of the yellow-themed common room and sipped on her butter beer. She watched everyone dancing and having fun.
"Potter, right?" A very handsome boy approached her. He had medium brown hair. And pale skin, just like she did. He was very attractive. She wondered why a boy like him was talking to her. 'Vampire Potter.'
"Yeah." She replied with a little blush arising at her cheeks, "That's me."
"Aren't you in Slytherin?" He smirked.
"Yeah, my friend knew the Hufflepuff password, so we thought we might just hang out."
He looked her up and down, much differently than the boys from Slytherin did, he had clear interest on his face, but it was a lot more brief and respectful, "I'm Cedric. Cedric Diggory."
"Evange-"
"I know." He cut her off with a chuckle.
She blushed and slightly bit the tip of her butter beer then took a sip.
He took a quick look at the dance floor before looking back at her, "Are you doing anything this Saturday?"
She shook her head.
"Would you be open to going to Hogsmeade with me? As a date."
"Yeah." She lowered her arms and fiddled with the bottle, "I'm down."
"Alright, I'll meet you in the Great Hall then."
This better not be some sick prank.
Anala came back from the bathroom with two new bottles of butter beer. She handed one to Eva. "Diggory, right?" Anala asked the boy talking to her.
"Yeah." Cedric turned his head to Eva and gave a soft smile, "See you later, Evangeline."
Anala smirked, "So, what was that about?"
"I have a date with Diggory I guess."
Her jaw dropped slightly, "Girl if you knew..."
"Knew what?"
"Girls cry over that man. Girls that have never spoken to him. He's the hottest boy in school. That's a total upgrade from Malfoy." She lifted her butter beer up slightly, as a small salute, and took a swig from it.

Saturday came. She was ready for her date with Diggory—according to Anala—the hottest boy in school.
It was a bit chilly out, so she wore black nylons under her grey plaid skirt. She walked down the staircase from the girl's dormitories. "Where are you going?" Said Draco who was sitting on a high table by the staircase.
She rolled her eyes, "God, you are everywhere I go."
"Going on a date with Diggory?" He smirked, looking her up and down, seeing her unusually nice outfit.
"How do you know about that?"
"Goyle was at the Hufflepuff party."
"You sent Goyle to watch me?"
He scoffed, "I never said that. I said he was there and saw you two talking. I'm surprised you didn't see him, considering how tall he is. Or maybe you're just blind, like your idiot brother."
She clenched her jaw, Draco was pushing her buttons. "Don't compare me to my brother." She fumed.
He rested his head on his hand, "Have fun with pretty boy."
She couldn't figure out why he's been acting like such an arse lately. Maybe he's just moody. "I will." She spat and stormed off.
She met Diggory inside of the Great Hall, and they walked to Hogsmeade together in the cloudy mid-September weather.
"I was thinking we could go to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. It's really good, and I think you'll like it." Said Diggory.
"Yeah, sounds good. It's my first time going to Hogsmeade, so you'll have to show me around."
"Right." He smiled, "This is your first year."

Cedric was right. Madam Puddifoot's was pretty good. The date with him was going really well too; he's so effortlessly charming.
It was time for all the students visiting Hogsmeade to head back towards the castle. "I had a lot fun with you." He stated out of the blue as they were about to reach the Great Hall.
"I did too." She replied with a smile she couldn't control.
"I'd love to go on another date with you." He stopped on the entry way, picked up her hand and gently left a soft kiss on it, "Until then, Evangeline."
And with that, he was off toward the Hufflepuff table. She saw different angry girls glaring at her; but couldn't decipher if it was because of the article, or because of Cedric.
She was walking over towards Draco, to shove it in his face that she did—in fact—have fun with 'pretty boy,' but she came closer to the table only to see him with his fingers interlocked with Pansy Parkinson on the table.
She thought he hated her...but she guesses she was wrong. Her heart sunk and she felt a wave of anger wash over her. She made eye contact with him, but turned around and left.
