Opposite Ends (Draco Malfoy)

Evangeline entered the Slytherin common room to see Draco's group of friends together. After what went down at breakfast today, she wanted to avoid them. She felt like avoiding everyone.

"Evangeline!" Mattheo called out to her. She sighed and dreadfully went over to them. Mattheo was sitting by himself on a chair, meanwhile Zabini and Draco on opposite ends of the couch. And as always, Crabbe & Goyle on the love seat.

"What?" She folded her arms awkwardly, standing in front of both Draco & Mattheo.

"You avoiding us?"

She shrugged.

"We don't care about the dumb article." Mattheo reassured her.

"Speak for yourself." Muttered Draco.

"Where was that energy when she read the damn thing at the table?" Argued Mattheo.

"I'm going up to my room." She said, not wanting to listen to them bicker with one another.

"Nah." Blaise smirks, "Sit down with us. Tell us about yourself Vampire Potter."

She shot him a dirty look. Pansy came strutting over, "Hey boys." She beamed with her head high. The sisters, Astoria & Daphne followed behind her.

Evangeline was going to walk past, but Draco grabbed her wrist and pulled her onto the couch real close to him. He swung his arm over her shoulders and just glared at Parkinson.

Pansy's facial expression showed nothing, but fury, it immediately changed to a smirk as she tangibly grew a thought in her head. "Interesting choice, Draco. I never thought you'd be willing to shag a filthy half-blood." Pansy flipped her hair and strutted off confidently, Astoria & Daphne following behind her once more. Astoria gave Eva a "sorry" look.

Eva grabbed Draco's arm and took it off of her, "What was that for?"

"What was what?"

"This." She scooted away from him.

He rolled his eyes at her, "Something to make Pansy go away."

She just looked at him, but her gaze had hardened. She sighed, stood up and went to her dormitory.

In the dorm room, Anala was sitting on her bed reading a book. "Hi, Evangeline." She looked up at her, smiling.

Eva smiled back at her and let herself fall onto her bed. She's so tired of all the drama.

She heard Anala close her book, "Eva?"

"Yeah?" She sat up.

"I read the article." She began to make her way over to Eva.

"Who didn't?"

"I think it's bullshit."

The article was the last thing Eva wanted to talk about.

"It's completely ridiculous." Anala sat down next to her, "but we haven't talked in a while, so how's Hogwarts treating you?"

"If it isn't obvious enough, it's pretty shit." She bit.

"I'm sorry." She frowned, "Wanna do something to take your mind off of it?"

Eva immediately felt guilty for snapping at her and sat up, "Like what? It's almost night."

"Well." She smirked, "Hufflepuff is having a back to school common room party. I happen to know the password." She looked at her nails, "and was thinking we could maybe crash it."

A smile grew onto Eva's face, "I'm so down."

All the girls in Eva's dormitory were asleep; meanwhile Anala & her were getting ready. Osborn wore a dark blue skin-tight dress. Eva was finishing up her hair. "Do you have a dress to wear?" She asked Eva standing over her vanity, putting her long hair into a clip.

"No. I was going to go in a skirt." She answered, placing her purple comb next to her hairspray.

"Girl, no." She laughed. "What color do you want?" She started walking over to her closet, "I got dark red, which would make you look hot, and I got white, which would also make you look hot."

Eva stood up and went over to her closet to see her holding the two dresses by black plastic hangers. "I mean...I like red, but I wore a red dress for homecoming at my old school last year."

Anala didn't hesitate to throw the red dress back into her closet. She gave Eva the satin white dress. "Thank you." Eva smiled, walking back over to her bed to slip it on.

The two of them quietly went down into their common room. They saw Draco and his two 'bodyguards' (Crabbe & Goyle) hanging out. Draco glared at Evangeline and she ignored him nervously.
