"We need to get you to the hospital wing sir! To Madam Pomfrey!" Said Harry as him and Eva both helped Dumbledore walk with his arms over their shoulders in the astronomy tower.
"No." He disagreed. They both sat him down, "Severus. Severus is who I need."
Eva and Harry just got back from getting a Horcrux in a cave. Eva had bleeding scratches and bruises all over her. She almost drowned after being attacked by inferi. If it weren't for Harry, she would've died.
"Tell him what happened." Dumbledore continued, "At the lake. Don't speak to no one else."
Harry hesitated to leave, but Dumbledore urged him. "Go with him, Evangeline."
She obeyed. The twins were about to head down the astronomy tower stairs when they heard footsteps coming from the bottom. They exchanged worried looks and then immediately looked at Dumbledore.
The man with the long, white beard stood up, "Hide yourself below. Both of you. Do not speak or be seen by anybody without my permission. Whatever happens, it's imperative you stay below."
Eva was growing worried, "What is happening?!"
"There's no time to explain. You must do as I say." He replied.
Harry stood there, not wanting to go. Eva tugged on his arm, "Harry, let's go."
"Go. Trust me." Dumbledore urged.
Harry and Eva hid under the platform that Dumbledore stood on and they watched a tall figure in a black suit walk up the steps. She stood behind her brother, which they were both using a wall as coverage.
"Good evening, Draco." Said Dumbledore.
Eva's heart dropped. She now knew exactly what was happening. Did Dumbledore know about this? Is that why he urged us to hide?
Eva was about to walk out from behind the wall and go up the stairs, but Harry grabbed her wrist, made eye contact with her and mouthed the word "No."
Eva furrowed her brows at her brother, but he was probably right. She stayed in place and decided to watch the scene unfold.
Albus Dumbledore continued to speak to Draco, "What brings you here on this fine spring evening?"
"Who else is here?" Draco demanded an answer out of him, "I heard you talking."
Eva saw Draco's wand was pointed at Dumbledore.
"I've been talking out loud to myself; I find it extraordinarily useful." Albus lied with ease.
Harry began to wander under the platform, to get a better look. Eva rolled her eyes and followed him.
"Have you been whispering to yourself, Draco?" Asked Dumbledore.
He didn't respond. Draco looked down and saw Eva's face through a hole in the floor. Her eyes went big, and she pursed her lips together nervously.
"Draco." Continued Dumbledore, "You are no assassin."
"How do you know what I am?!" Malfoy attempted to defend himself, trying to adhere to what Voldemort wanted. "I've done things that would shock you! Expelliarmus!"
Dumbledore's wand was then thrown out of his hand. He listed things that Draco had done this year in attempt to murder him. He kept going, trying to convince the boy he was no killer. Until he heard a door at the bottom of the tower unlock. "You're not alone?" Asked the man with the white beard, "There are others. How?"
Malfoy hesitated for a moment, debating on whether it was worth telling him. He decided it didn't matter since he was supposed to die anyway. "The vanishing cabinet in the room of requirement. I've been mending it."
