Opposite Ends (Draco Malfoy)

"Who the hell are you?" A stern voice asked.

So much embarrassment had just came over Evangeline, and she didn't even know who asked her. She saw a black pair of fancy dress shoes next to another pair.

Eva got off Anala, feeling terrible for dragging her into this embarrassing situation, and stood up slowly; she held her hand out for Osborn to help her stand up as well. Evangeline looked over to see the blonde boy next to some guy with dark skin, buzzed hair and a droopy facial expression.

"I'm Evangeline." She answered him, looking outside the glass door of the compartment. There were too many people for her to even leave. It was perfect, but not perfect enough to make up for the amount of regret she felt. She sat down with Anala across from the two boys.

"Evangeline what?" He continued.

"Potter." She confidently answered again. Despite her confidence, she found Malfoy kind of intimidating. "Evangeline Potter."

She watched his eyes travel to her scar, "Aren't you supposed to be dead?" He asked with a lack of expression in his tone.

"No." She spat, "People just think I am."

Malfoy checked her out, looking her up and then down slowly; a smirk grew onto his cold expression when he looked back at her face. He knew he was being obvious, but there was no hint of shame in his demeanor. She felt her stomach jump. She adjusted her seating position a little bit. "Did you come back from the dead?" The smirk remained on his face.

"I was never dead." She argued and leaned back in her seat as she folded her arms, "Idiot." She mumbled, purposefully loud enough for him to hear.

The smirk on his face disappeared quickly at her sudden 'disrespect', "What'd you say?"

"Nothing." She replied. She looked over to Anala, who had a very awkward expression on her face. Eva, again, felt bad for dragging her into this.

Evangeline diverted her attention back to Malfoy, he was looking at Anala, "So...female Potter." He began, looking back at her. "You wouldn't want to go wandering around with the wrong sort now, would you?" That smug smirk grew back onto his face.

"Of course not." She sat up, "But what are you implying?" The train began to move, the four students in the compartment just ignored it.

"I can help you there."

The compartment door slid open, revealing Evangeline's slightly older brother. He had two people behind him. A boy with long, red hair and bright green eyes, as well as a girl with bushy hair and two large front teeth. They must've been Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. "What are you doing, Evangeline?" Sternly inquired Harry.

"Sitting in a compartment like everyone else on this train." She answered with attitude in her voice. Eva was beginning to grow irritated with him.

Malfoy stood up, "Relax Potter. I'm just helping your sister out with not getting into the wrong sort. Something that you didn't want because you're too ignorant."

"Shut up Malfoy." Spat Harry, before he looked back at his sister, "You seriously think he's going to help you with that?"

"What good will you do?" She defended, "You didn't even know everyone thought your own sister was dead. Did nobody tell you?"

The red head spoke up, "I don't recall you being mentioned, really."

Harry elbowed him.

"Seriously Harry?" She continued, "You never talked about me once? But you had the audacity to tell me all about how amazing Hogwarts was? You were just rubbing it in my face, weren't you? You would tell me how you missed me, but would never come to visit during the holidays."

"I wanted to." Defended Harry, "But you know how the Dursleys are."

She rolled her eyes, "Exactly! You left me alone with them!" Eva shut the compartment door right in Harry's face.

Malfoy chuckled as she sat back down in her seat, "Damn female Potter."

"Don't call me female Potter." She snapped at him too, "Just call me by my first name." She refused to make eye contact. She's never argued with her brother before, not like that.

"Alright, Evangeline." He smirked.
