Opposite Ends (Draco Malfoy)

Screams were heard occasionally throughout the castle. The battle had begun an hour ago. Harry & Evangeline met up with Ron & Hermione to search through the room of requirement for Ravenclaw's diadem.

The four had split up, but Harry found it. As he were about to reach for it, he heard, "Hold it, Potter." Harry snapped his head in the direction of the voice to see Draco Malfoy with his wand pointed directly at him. Crabbe, Goyle, Zabini, & Mattheo standing behind him.

"Why didn't you tell her?" Asked Harry, "Bellatrix. You knew it was me. You didn't say anything."

Goyle whispers to Draco, but not quietly, "Come on, Draco. Don't be a prat."

Evangeline heard and immediately started running toward the voices. "Expelliarmus!" She yelled and Draco's wand flew out of his hand.

The four who were behind Draco pointed their wands at the twins. Mattheo smirked, "Switched sides now, did you, Eva?"

Crabbe threw the Cruciatus Curse at Harry, who ducked under a table and barely got away from it.

"Stop!" Malfoy shouted, "The Dark Lord wants them alive!"

Hermione shot a stunning spell at Crabbe, but it missed, only because Malfoy pushed him out of the way. Hermione's spell caused a duel to break between all the teenagers.

They all threw spells, curses and jinxes at each other. Goyle was stunned by Hermione; and Evangeline managed to disarm Mattheo.

Mattheo sighed, "I'm disappointed in you, Evangeline."

She rolled her eyes, "I'm sorry, you were a great friend, but, Stupefy!"

Mattheo flew backward and slammed into a cabinet. Blaise darted toward her and tackled her, American-football-style. Her wand flew out of her hand as she hit the floor and a veiny, pale hand picked it up. "Stupefy."

It was Draco.

Draco grabbed the unconscious Blaise by the collar of his shirt and pulled him off of Eva. He put his hand out for her. She took it and he helped her to her feet. They made eye contact. His expression was sorry. And hers was filled with disappointment. She felt betrayed by him.

Crabbe used fiendfyre, causing the room of requirement to burst into flames. Draco yelled, "CRABBE YOU BLOODY IDIOT!"

Evangeline ran over to Mattheo, to help him stand up so that she could get him out of here as Draco did the same with Blaise.

Harry flew away on his broom from Ron so that he could help whoever needed it. Eva plopped Mattheo onto Harry's broom.

Ron bellowed, "HARRY IF WE DIE FOR THEM, I'LL KILL YOU!"
