Blaise and Mattheo noticed that Eva's behavior has changed. She appears more cold and distant than usual, a bit like Draco from last school year.

Mattheo knew exactly why, but wouldn't say a word. He knew how his father affected people. Yet he couldn't do a thing about it. He deeply wished he knew how to stop his father without the possible cost of his own life and it drowned him with guilt.

Students were in the Great Hall for dinner and the annual new year announcements. Severus Snape was the new headmaster since Albus Dumbledore had passed away.

He's made quite a few changes. The Slytherin dormitories were no longer in the dungeon of the castle; the Gryffindor dormitories were.

Evangeline was frequently peering over at the Gryffindor table trying to find her brother, Granger, or possibly Weasley, but to no avail, she couldn't spot any of them. She does see Ginny Weasley though. She stands up.

"Where you going?" Inquired Draco, knowing his orders were to be with her at all possible times.

"I'll be right back."

"Eva-"

"I'm not leaving the Great Hall." She spat and went over to Ginny. Once Eva approached her, her face became serious. Ginny sat across from her.

"Where's my brother?" Questioned Eva.

Ginny adjusted her seating position, "What's it to you?"

"I need to talk to him."

"None of us know where he is exactly." Ginny shrugged, "But even if I did, why would I tell you?" She then whispered, "You hang out with death eaters. You were there the whole summer, we thought you were a prisoner, but clearly other things have happened."

Eva sat down directly in front of Ginny. "I'm not there to actually work with the Dark Lord. You think I'd actually betray the only likeable family member I have left? I need to talk to Harry to tell him about what's going on. It's crucial."

Ginny frowned, "Likeable family member? Last I heard, you two were in a fued. But he isn't here, Evangeline. Don't you know what he's doing?"

"Completing Dumbledore's task?"

She nodded.

"Fuck. Is he going to come back?"

"No. Not likely."

Eva huffed and left the Gryffindor table and ran into Draco, "Eva, you can't walk away from me like that." He whispered to her.

"You have to be by my side at all times? We're in the same room." She argued.

"Yes. As much as possible."

She rolled her eyes, "Well, I want to leave."

"The Great Hall?"

"Yeah."
