I'd like to apologize in advance, this isn't a Draco chapter. This chapter is revealing certain information that is crucial to leading her to getting closer to him. Please bare with me yall 😭❤️

It was the Easter Holidays. Hogwarts had few students. Eva desperately wanted to tell Draco about the Horcruxes, but she didn't want to get blown off by him. She felt embarrassed enough as it is.

Eva couldn't sleep the night before the holiday break ended. She decided to wander around the castle in hopes to tire herself out.

But when she heard a voice around the corner, her heart dropped. She stood still, trying not to make a sound. "I don't think they're ready to find out, Severus. I don't want to have to be the one to tell them either."

It's Dumbledore.

"I don't want to see the looks on their faces when they find out that in order to destroy Voldemort, they have to die." Dumbledore continued.

What? Who is he talking about?

Severus sighed, "For now, it's best to just have them focus on the fact they have to hunt down the Horcruxes. Before the twins get to the last one, that's when we should tell them that they are Horcruxes too."

Eva didn't know what to think. The twins? There are many twins at this school. The Weasley twins, the Patil twins etc.

Well I doubt any of them are going to be hunting down any Horcruxes.

Eva no longer had shame that she was out after hours. So what if she costed her house points? She needed answers.

"Are you saying Harry & I have to die in order to defeat you-know-who?"

Dumbledore's and Snape's heads snapped in her direction. They were dumbfounded. This was not how they intended for her to find out.

"What are you doing out after hours, Miss Potter?" Snape slurred.

"I couldn't sleep. Everything is too stressful. But...what do you mean?" She looked to Dumbledore.

He hesitated, and sighed, "You and Harry, Evangeline, are Voldemort's unintentional Horcruxes."

Her heart dropped. "Me? Like me as a whole?"

"Yes. Don't you recall having dreams being in Voldemort's shoes?" He asked her. "Harry has told me about his. And that happens because a piece of his soul is inside of you. It's in that scar you bear."

"I have to die?"

"Yes, unfortunately. I'm sorry, Evangeline." Dumbledore's eyes looked sad, "Please, don't tell your brother."

"What?! Why not?! He has the right to know!"

"You are quite right about that, but you weren't supposed to find out yet." Dumbledore explained, "Hunting down the Horcruxes is going to be much harder for you now that you know you're one of them and that in the end, you have to accept death if you want to prevent Voldemort from executing his plan."

She looked down and nervously fidgeted by pinching her fingers. She didn't know what to think of this. Death is scary. The future that she always wanted has just been thrown out the window. She looked back up at the two of them, "How? How did we become Horcruxes? It doesn't make sense."

This time, Severus explained, "In order to create a Horcrux, you must first, break a piece of your soul. And that can only be done by doing an act so wicked like killing somebody."

"I know that." Said Eva.

Snape rolled his eyes, "When he killed both of your parents. He ripped two pieces off his soul and when he tried to kill you and your brother, instead, parts of his soul became part of you two."

Dumbledore almost took points away from Slytherin because of Eva wandering around the castle at night, but he decided to not make matters worse for her. After all, she did just find out she is going to die in maybe a year.
