Opposite Ends (Draco Malfoy)

Dobby assisted Harry, Hermione, and Ron in escaping the manor, but in the middle of their apparation, Bellatrix managed to throw a knife at them, going with them to wherever they apparated to.

Eva just hoped it missed everyone.

"Fuck!" Screamed Bellatrix.

Eva had a cut on her face, from a glass shard that shot at her from when Dobby tried to make the chandelier fall on top of Bellatrix.

The crazy-haired witch darted toward Evangeline, she pointed her wand at the teenage girl's throat, sharply poking her with it and backing her up into the wall, "How did your brother escape the cellar?!"

"Dobby helped them." Eva said, trying to maintain her composure.

"Rubbish!"

Draco intervened, "Bellatrix, she's telling the truth. I was right there."

Lucius Malfoy took a step toward the scene, "Draco, you stay out of it."

Bellatrix snapped her head in Draco's direction angrily. She lowers her wand slowly.

Eva steps away from the wall, taking a deep breath and holding onto the spot on her neck where Bellatrix's wand was sharply poking at.

Bellatrix looks back down at Evangeline with an eyebrow raised. She twirls her wand in the air and walks away almost as if shes drunk.

Eva and Draco share the same look with one another. One that not either of them could explain the feeling behind it. The two of them were numb, but found comfort in at least having each other.

Later that night, Evangeline and Draco were roaming the manor together. They were out in the garden. They strolled in silence, Eva admiring the beauty of the garden, and Draco bored with it. He'd seen it almost everyday of his life. "Are you not mad at your brother anymore?" He broke the quiet.

"I am upset with him still, yes." She admitted, "But there are bigger things to worry about. I have to put it to the side."

Draco suddenly grabbed her hand and interlocked her fingers with his. It made Eva's heart skip a beat. She didn't say anything though, she just let it happen.
