I smiled happily down at my child who's lips curled up into a cute smile as she wriggled her tiny body around in her cot. With the help of the strange man I had met in the forest we were winning the war, I had not seen Tom in weeks, he knew that the child had been born, he however had not sent a letter, nor had he come to see her.A pang of hurt consumed me, why would he do such a thing? He seemed so happy and excited for her arrival, I even thought she may be the reason he changed, to my disappointment that was not to be the case, and our daughter would grow up in constant danger - especially with how famous Tom was getting now, practically everyone you met on the street knew his name, they were even beginning to fear it, just what Tom wanted. Amber's eyes were already open, they were as black a ravens wing, just like her fathers, with more a spark hidden in the pit of darkness.

"We need to leave"A weak voice spoke from behind me breaking me from my thoughts.Turning around I came face to face with the nameless man from the woods. His eyes which reminded me of Toms were planted firmly on Amber who began to cry when a loud bang sounded from witches and wizards beginning to apparate.I was wary of him and so had hardly spoken a word to him in the short time he had stayed with us.

"Yes"I said emotionlessly as to not let anything through, before picking Amber up and cradling her, while rubbing her back to soothe her. Surprisingly my eyes met with the mans and I found myself in a type of trance, realizing what was happening I looked away,he had been trying to read my thoughts, only for him to find my guards were up and were not coming back down anytime soon. Without saying a word I walked swiftly past him towards Penelope who was just putting her bag on her shoulder.Nothing was said until the man had walked past us towards the others who were also getting ready to leave.

"You have hardly spoken a word to him since the day he arrived"Penelope's deep brown eyes looked sadly at the man who had his back to us.

"I have"I said defensively with a frown "I have said yes, and no"Although she felt sorry for him Penelope managed a small smile before apparting away, just before I did the same.

"Get down!"A piercing scream broke through the odd silence upon my arrival although I did not know who the voice belonged to I did as they commanded.Seconds later a spell hit the ground mere inches away from me.That was too close. Taking a look at my surroundings I saw nothing but death, witches and wizards lay dead in a pool of their own blood, some looked at peace, while others had an expression of fear. Many death eaters were still fighting the aurors, and out the corner of my eye I noticed the distinctive blonde hair of Victoria Clearwater. She smiled challengingly at me from where she stood at the edge of a woodland, seconds before running in and becoming hidden by the trees.

"Penelope hold Amber!"I yelled and she held out her arms as quickly as though it were a reflex.

"Where are you going?"She replied, having to shout to be heard over the racket of spells being cast and screams of the people around us.

"After Victoria Clearwater, to end this once and for all"Penelope's jaw dropped, and her eyes widened looking at me as if I were crazy, she made to stop me but I was already running into the woods after my arch enemy. Because I would end this once and for all, Victoria wasn't going to see the sun rise, not if  I had a say in it.
