Any last words?

I chased after Victoria,deep into the forest and dodging trees and managing to close the gap between us.Taking out my wand I threw a spell at her only for her to duck out of the way and it to hit a tree.Her laughter only made me more motivated to kill her and in doing so speed up.

"Catch me if you can!"She yelled over her shoulder,giving me a smirk just as she tripped over a tree root and fall to the floor.I took my chance and cast the killing curse.Just as it was about to hit her someones spell blocked it.

"Damn it!"I muttered under my breath as Aurors surrounded me,so much for getting to see the light leave Victoria's eyes.

"Drop your wand!"One of them commanded raising their wand and pointing it at me.I did as I was told and put my hands behind my head.I stood under their glares for what felt like forever when the leader cut my side with a spell.I let out a groan of pain and fell to my knees.My head looking at the forest floor I half expected to be taken back as a hostage. I didn't see it coming when the ground shook and caused the Aurors to fall to the ground.A green shot of light blinded me for a mere second and once I could see again the Aurors lay scattered on the floor,dead,except one,Victoria, who lay helpless on the ground,drawing her last few breaths.

"Any last words?"I asked standing up and walking over to her with my wand at the ready. She shook her head and began to cry.

"I-I don't want to die!"She sobbed looking at me pleadingly.My head shot up at the sound of footsteps behind me.The bald man who I had hardly spoken to,it was him,he was the only one who could have possibly killed so many people at once.

"Too bad"I replied meeting the mans eyes briefly before turning back to Victoria and killing her instantly with the killing curse.The man made his way over to me and came to a stop beside me.He raised his wand and began to mutter words pointing it to my wound on my side. Once he had finished I stood frozen staring at him,unsure on what to do,it was the first time I had ever actually been alone with him.Without realizing it my feet began to move and back away from him as I raised my wand,I knew where I had seen those eyes before,they were Tom's.The man went to walk forward but I stopped him.

"Stay away!"He put his hands up but didn't let go of his wand.

"Are you afraid of me?"I stopped walking backwards and blinked at him.I was and he knew it,if he wanted to he could just kill me right here, right now and frame the Aurors.My eyes flicked over to the bodies of the Aurors and a tight not grew in my stomach.

"I would be lying if I said no"
