Always || Tom Riddle

Hogsmeade

It was breakfast and I was sat next to Penelope who had finished her cereal however I was not feeling hungry it must have been all the stress that I had been feeling recently what with Tom and everything that's been going on.I watched the little soggy shapes bounce up and down as I stirred them around the bowl.

"Are you coming to Hogsmeade today?"Penelope asked which seemed to awake me from my daze.

"Might as well"I replied and continued to stir the cereal around in the bowl.

"Come on!"Penelope said grabbing my hand and dragging me out of the great hall and around the halls until we arrived at the Slytherin common room.Tom was the only one who hadn't gone down to breakfast and it looked exactly as though he had stayed in that sofa in front of the fire all night.He looked up as we passed him and our eyes met,his jaw was clenched but it seemed to soften a bit when Penelope dragged me round the corner of the stairs up the girls dormitory.

"Your going to wear that!"I said as Penelope came out of the dressing room wearing a bright yellow coat with white gloves while I was just wearing a warm brown one and some leather boots with fake fur insides.

"Yes now if you dont mind I would like to leave!"She complained grabbing her bag and we went down the stairs into the common room.The room was now empty and Tom no longer sat on his sofa it seemed really wearied without him being in here he was always in here it was one of the places I looked when trying to find him.I shook it off and walked out of the castle grounds and down to Hogsmeade with Penelope.

"I am just going to go in here"Penelope said before entering the honeydukes shop and going into buy some sweets.I looked over with a watery mouth to the pastry shop I probably should not have skipped breakfast and I didnt have any money on me so I shook the feeling off and walked over to the woods the snow was deeper here and I had some trouble walking but apart from that it was lovely out here so peaceful away from everyone.Somebody grabbed my arm and pushed me into a tree hard I lost my breath but it seemed to come back when I saw Tom.

"Tom?"I said but he didnt say anything but put a warm paper bag in my gloved hand.

"Eat, it will make you feel better."He said and turned around walking off.I opened the bag and saw the pasty that I had looked at in the window this had been a really expensive one at least seven Galleons.

"Tom wait!"I said following after him trudging through the snow.

"Tom how could you afford this"I continued getting closer to him but not to the point where I could reach out to him.

"Are you just going to ignore me!"I exclaimed and stopped and ironically so did Tom.He turned around to face me his face looked so emotionless and calm it was almost scary.

"This is how I paid for it now if you dont mind I have business to attend to"Tom said pulling out his hand from his pocket which held a lot of notes.

"Where did you get that?"I asked as he yet again started walking away I had to think quickly I made a snow ball and thew it at Toms back.He stopped dead in his tracks the last time we had done this we had been in our first year and we were now in our fifth.I was expecting Tom be angry at me but instead he turned around smirking and dived to get a snow ball of his own I did the same making my own up.

"This is war Pevensie"Tom yelled as he threw a snow ball at me that I just managed to dodge.

"Same to you Riddle"I replied laughing as I threw another snow ball at him but he ducked.I stopped laughing and smirked when I realized that Tom had hidden somewhere I moved my snow ball from hand to hand.

"You cant hide forever Riddle"I said taking slow steps and looking behind every tree after all there wasn't many other places you could hide in the woods.I froze as  a big black wolf came into view a few yards ahead of me and it began to sniff the air and I was worried that it could smell me but then I thought again when I felt my pasty in my pocket.I backed away behind a tree and looked around for Tom where was he anyway he knew I was terrified of wolves and I had forgotten to bring my wand.I felt a gloved hand come over my mouth and I looked up almost in seconds to see Tom and by the look on his face he knew how scared I was.

"Don't make a sound"He whispered right next to my ear and I turned round scared and buried my head in his chest as he wrapped his arms around me.I heard a low growl sound right beside us and Tom slowly let go of me pushing me out the way as the wolf pounced on the ground where we had stood seconds ago.

"Avedra Kevadra!"
