2 days later...

"Try again!"Tom instructed,he was teaching me how to form a protective shield spell insisting that I learn it as quickly as possible because of all the trouble I have been getting into recently.

"Tom we have been at this for hours,cant we just take a break for lunch and then try again?"I complained lowering my wand as Tom fake rolled his eyes smirking,walking off towards the stairs leading to the main hallway.

"Well I guess I cant keep you from your food now can I?"He muttered as he turned the corner where his friends were waiting at the bottom of the steps by the front door.

"My lord we didn't manage to get the cup someone already had bought it"I overheard Malfoy say as I followed after Tom down the steps to find the boys standing side by side looking as pale as ghosts.They looked up when they heard my footsteps and Malfoy's eyes widened.

"What are you staring at Malfoy?!"I hissed as I walked past them and down another set of stone steps to the kitchen where Gabby the house elf was cooking us lunch.

"Lunch will be ready soon my lady"She mumbled as she got a brass pot and took some bread out of the oven.

"That's okay I am not very hungry at the minute"I replied just as Tom leading his friends came down into the kitchen,he looked from me to Gabby who sped up in her doings.

"When will lunch be ready?!"Tom sounded annoyed and Gabby nearly dropped a pot of boiling water on the floor over her feet.

"Its fine I am not very hungry at the minute I will go and read and come back when it is done."I said as Gabby gave me a greatful look.I opened the double doors into the library finding that white sheets covered most of the furniture to protect it from dust and sunlight.I ran my fingers over the book titles trying to find one to read when a particular book title stood out from the others.Horcruxes.I smiled and gently pulled the book free from the others walking over to the only uncovered reading chair there was.

I began to read just as Gabby came in with a tray full of food and put it down on the table going up onto her tiptoes in order to do so.

"Enjoy my lady"She muttered as I closed the book putting it down on the table and hurrying after her.

"Wait!"

"Yes my lady?"She asked innocently looking round over her shoulder.

"I was wondering if I could talk to you?"I fiddled with my hands not knowing what other way to put it.

"Very well my lady"


"First of all let me apologize for Tom acting the way he did I should have said something,but he is always cranky when he's hungry and you don't have to call me my lady either because I am not one,also why does everyone keep calling Tom my lord?"I asked the house elf as she frowned and put her bruised hands on her hips.

"I cannot abide your wishes of not calling you my lady, you see his lordship wishes me to call you my lady and so I must obey him as I serve his family...Oh and his lordship isn't eating it is only you who is"I frowned but then looked remembered the state of her poor little hands and just had to ask.

"Does he beat you?"I asked stunned while looking down to her hands,she did the same and tears came to her eyes,she looked young for a house elf but she seemed wise like she had lived for hundreds of years.

"No my lady,it was his father who beat me,he didn't like me you see so he used his walking stick to hit me.He grew violent ever since he came back after being with that Merope women,she wasn't much of sight so his lordship takes after his father in looks."Gabby explained as I grew more interested and sat down this was going to be a while.

"Well why don't you sit"I said as she smiled and shook her head.

"It is very nice of you to think of me my lady but it would be much more of a favor to see you enjoy my soup...and I have said too much already,promise me you wont tell his lordship or else"

"Or else what?"I asked furrowing my eyebrows at the worried looking house elf.

"He will hit me just like his father!"The house elf exclaimed and put her hands over her mouth in shock.

"Just promise me my lady that you wont tell him I said!"

"No,I wont I wouldn't get you into that kind of trouble Gabby now you go and take a break."I replied and she nodded quickly running off before I could ask any more questions and potentially get her into more trouble.

"Oh and wheres Tom?"I asked just as she got to the door and she turned around smiling.

"Hes in the dinner hall talking with his friends but hes in a meeting so I wouldn't disturb him Miss"Gabby said as she stopped for a moment to talk before happily skipping along back to the kitchen.I frowned but walked over and ate the soup quickly so that I could get back to the book.I opened the page and began to read,it didn't feel like much time had gone by but by the time I looked up from the page it was dark outside.Footsteps were heard behind me and I looked over my shoulder to see Tom emerging from the darkness with his hands behind his back.

"I thought you would still be here,what are you reading that has you so consumed?"He asked frowning as I racked my brain for an excuse of some sort.

"I was just curious"I said as Tom took the book off of me gently and saw the title.He huffed and smirked by the time he looked from the book title to me his eyes were gleaming with happiness.

"So you are curious to know more about horcruxes?" 

AN:Hey everyone, so I am going to do another update later tonight so look out for that!Also I hope you thought this was okay,I mean I had to rewrite it as I lost the first chapter I was doing on this so this is basically from what I can remember about what I started but then lost because my computer did something odd.Anyway,I am sorry about not updating last night I had homework to do.
