"I just don't get how you are supposed to hold your breath underwater for an hour"I said puzzled as I put a stack of books down onto the desk and stood while Tom sat down and began to scan through the old pages. We were in the library and were concealed by the tall shelves of books.I ducked as a book came flying towards me and onto the shelf just above me.
"Do you think the others have any idea about what they are going to do to hold their breath underwater?"I asked as Tom looked up from his book to the shelf in front of him huffing and closing the book, pushing it away from him.
"Most likely"Tom replied sounding defeated.I sat down in the chair next to him and took his hand squeezing it gently.
"Hey don't give up so easily we will find something"I said and grabbed a book opening it and scanning for any valuable information.Out of the corner of my eye I kept an eye on Tom who didn't seem to be doing anything except looking at me.
"What?"I asked not looking up from the book and continuing to flick through the endless pages of writing.
"Thank you"He said and I looked up abruptly Tom never said thank you even to me.
"F-for what?"I asked and Tom smirked he hardly ever smiled.
"For this"Tom said and before I could do or say anything he had leaned in and kissed me passionately as I melted into the kiss and he lifted my by the waist onto the table top.
"Who are you and what have you done with Tom Riddle?"I asked beside his ear as he kissed my neck giving me time to breathe.
"He never left"Tom replied between kisses.I put a hand on his chest and gently pushed him away resting my forehead against his kissing his lips but pulling away before he could kiss me back.
"Later"I whispered and stroked his cheek before smirking and picking the book back up and ignoring the hunger in his eyes as he stood there breathless and disheveled I liked playing this game and I also liked having control it was rare that Tom would let me take the lead as it was common for him to take over.I kept taking a peek at him looking from the books page to the disheveled boy who stood before me.
"You know your never going to be able to hold your breathe underwater if you stand there watching me read a book all day"I said not looking up from the book but hearing him huff in defeat and walk back to his chair beside me.
"Ah I found it!"I said after a few more minutes of searching.
"What!"Tom sounded surprised as he stood and I put the book on the table hopping off of it and putting a finger below the information.
"Gillyweed, once taken can change the witch or wizard into that of a fish with gills and fin like feet in order to breathe underwater"I read aloud and once I had finished looked to Tom who looked a little disgusted.
"Don't you know what this means? It means you can breathe underwater and swim faster I don't know what could possibly go wrong"I said a little too excited and too loudly as half the library looked up and ssshhhed me and then went back to what they were doing,I just rolled my eyes and looked back to the page.
"Well there's the fact that it may not even be in the school grounds and it does not say how long it lasts for"Tom said as if it were obvious it probably was but I was not going to let that ruin my happy mood.
"Sorry captain obvious"I replied and elbowed Tom playfully.
"Ah Miss Pevensie I have been looking for you everywhere it was only when I asked your friend Miss Fudge where you were most likely to be she directed me here"Professor Mcgonagoll said as I looked up from the book along with Tom.
"I need you to come with me immediately"She continued and me and Tom exchanged a glance as she led me out of the library.I sure hope its not another one of those meetings where I have to sit and talk about Tom with Professor Dumbledore.
