The attacks grow

"Arghhh!"I let out a scream punching the dorm wall in frustration.I did not even feel the pain when some blood came out of my skin from my knuckles.I heard the sound of rushed footsteps and locked the door I wanted to be alone.I sat down by a bed and began to cry into my knees, with permission from headmaster Dippet and the help of Tom I was allowed to have a day off school work as I was getting high enough grades as it was.Tom had been watching over me all day and mostly we had stayed in the common room but Tom had to go back to his room and do some homework and so I went into my dorm.
A knock echoes through the room breaking the silence of the room which every so often would be broken with my sobs.

"Alohamora"I heard Tom say and the door swung open but I didn't look up.

"Let me take a look at your hand"Tom says kneeling down beside me and holds my hand expertly examining it carefully as I wince once the adrenaline wears off.

"I think you have  broken it come on"Tom says and helps me up before leading me out of the Slytherin common room and to the hospital wing.

"Ah lets see what has happened here"The nurse said and sat me on a bed as Tom lingered with his hands behind his back he began to pace.The nurse applied some sort of treatment to my knuckles which stopped the bleeding.She examined my hand her eyes running over every finger.

"It is definitely broken how on earth did you do this?"She asked looking up from my hand to me.Tom had stopped pacing and we exchanged a look before I answered.

"Uh I punched a wall"I said slowly slightly embarrassed and the nurse frowned,nodded,stood up from sitting in front of me on a stool and walked off muttering to herself about how stupid I was.

"I dont think she is very happy with me"I said as Tom walked over and brushed my hair away from my face kissing my forehead.

"I dont care what she thinks"Tom said cupping my face.I smiled and stroked his face just before our lips met.

"I was wondering why you weren't in clas-"Penelopes voice could be heard and me and Tom pulled apart.

"Hi"I said quietly taking Toms hand in mine for a bit of reassurance.Toms followers walked in as a big group and I let go of Toms hand quickly as Penelope quickly walked over to me and Tom.

"We thought we would find you here Tom"Abraxas said and the others joined in with "yeahs".

"What are you doing here Clara?"Malfoy asked sweetly and it was clear that it was fake.

"None of your business"I replied coldly and in his eyes he flashed an angry glare.

"Leave"I commanded and they looked to Tom who led them out.

"We didnt want to stay anyway"Malfoy said coldly walking backwards before following Tom out.

"Clara why does Tom hang around with them?"Penelope asked lying down on the bed behind me.

"Well you know how he can be"I replied softly just as the nurse hurried back over with a cast and a drink.

"Drink this and I will put this on."She said handing me the cup and standing to the side waiting for me to drink it.I took a sip of it  and then spat it out with the horrid taste that filled my mouth.

"Eww this tastes like sick!"I commented as the nurse took it off me and poured some more putting it on the table.

"You will have to stay here for the night so that I can keep an eye on you Miss Pevensie now I suggest you drink"She said and commanded Penelope to follow her leaving me alone.I lay back on the bed and huffed looking up at the ceiling gradually falling asleep.

I was awoken by footsteps and murmurs of voices.I turned over on my side so that it would look like I was asleep.

"What do you think happened to the poor girl?"I could hear professor Mcgonagolls voice say.

"I believe that she has been petrified"Headmaster Dippet said.

"How?"The nurse from earlier said after they had put the girl down onto the bed.

"I thought that it was only legend"I heard Dumbledore whisper to himself.

"What was only legend?"The nurse asked beginning to panic.

"While Salazar Slytherin was here he made it so whoever was the heir of Slytherin would be able to continue his dark work and eliminate muggle borns from the school"Headmaster Dippet said slowly.

"If more attacks occur the school will have to be closed"Dumbledore advised Dippet.

"Thats what I was afraid of"Dippet replied walking out of the hospital wing followed by a trail of quick paced footsteps shortly before the doors were closed.I got up and walked over to the girl who lay frozen on the bed.After close examination I recognized her as a first year muggleborn I had seen her with her friends the day she had been sorted into Ravenclaw.If what I suspected was right then Tom was the heir of Slytherin and was making these attacks happen and what was most difficult to know was who would be his next target?
