Revenge

"Get it away from me,get it away from me,noooowwww!" Victoria Clearwater screeched as I came through the painting into the common room.She was stood on the sofa desperate to get away from a spider on the floor.I noticed that Penelope was in the room laughing with the other girls who stood watching her,I couldn't help but join in with them. 

"Who let the spider in?"I asked Penelope who shrugged still laughing.

"Who cares?Its funny though,I mean just look at her face"The 'spider' wasn't a real spider and so because the screaming was hurting my ears I walked up to the rubber muggle prank toy and picked it up dangling it before Victoria who stopped screaming and the whole room turned silent.

"Here you go"I threw the spider on her head and she screamed even after realizing it wasn't a real spider.I went up to my room which was Victoria's last year.A pair of footsteps behind me made me whirl around only to see a black pair of eyes meet mine.

"You cant scare me like that!"I held a hand to my heart feeling its beats speed up with fright as Tom smirked and turned the light on.

"You never said I couldn't"He teased and I rolled my eyes.

"Well I am telling you now"I replied grabbing a book and flicking through it.

"Do you have any idea what the homework is about?"I raised my eyebrows when I saw that he wasn't looking at me but at my hand the one which Mr Collins had hit with the cane as punishment.I put my hand behind my back hoping that he hadn't seen how bad it was,it wasn't healing and I had no idea why.

"Your hand...what happened to it?"

"Nothing its fine"I tried to move away but he grabbed it,examining the wound carefully before giving me a look.

"How long ago did you get this?"I huffed realizing that he wouldn't give up.

"A while back,when I was still in the orphanage,its not healing I don't know why"Tom grabbed my other hand and practically dragged me out of the common room towards the hospital wing.

"Clara!Back again you must like it here"The nurse joked as she finished off making a bed ready for the next wounded student.

"Believe me I try to stay away"I replied and she chuckled as she helped another student into a wheelchair.

"Lets take a look then"She said as she washed her hands and took a look at mine.

"What happened here?"I looked to Tom who was pacing and then back to her.

"I-I got caned for misbehavior at the orphanage"The nurse gasped and Tom stopped pacing to look at me in shock.

"T-that's surely illegal!"I smiled weakly at the nurse who was clearly shocked.

"It is discouraged but not illegal"I replied and Tom was at my side in an instant.

"Who did this to you?"He whispered and I frowned debating whether to tell him.

"Who?!"This time he was more persistent so I rolled my eyes.

"Mr Collins but tha-"Before I knew it he was off out of the hospital wing,I got up and ran after him.

"TOM!"He continued to walk and did not reply,I now feared the safety of the man who was head of the orphanage,especially as Tom had a reputation.

"TOM!"
