Maya
"There's my little sister. In bed. I wouldn't expect anything else from someone related to me,"
"You got home ages ago,"
"I had to shower first," Michael said, climbing onto my bed, "Otherwise I would smell,"
"I missed you,"
"Awh. I missed you too, did you have a good time with Cal?"
"I had a smoothie,"
"I'm jealous,"
I shook my head and buried my face into his side, biting my lip harshly.
"Was it not good?"
"It was,"
"Oh right,"
"It was hard to drink. I need a hug,"
"I have lots of hugs to give," he said, "I'm so proud of you,"
"Are you really gonna take care of me forever?"
"Well, I am sure at some point you'll want to move out, but I'm always here for you,"
"Okay. Good. I feel a bit better now,"
"Wanna play a video game while Cal cooks?"
"No. I am gonna lay here and think,"
"Suit yourself,"
He squeezed me tightly, then got off my bed and fluffed the pillows he had laid on, shutting my door on the way out. I wished Finn wasn't at therapy right now so I could call him, but he was, so I just put my tv on and waited for the food to be ready.
There was something so nice about the smell drifting through, and the sound of them clattering about. It was nice because it wasn't me, and I still got to eat it.
When they called me, I didn't hesitate to go through, and sat at my seat. I kinda had a seat now, so that was cool.
"Smells good,"
"Bet it tastes even better," Calum said, "Not to boost my own ego,"
"It tastes about the same," I smiled.
"Wow. Okay,"
I giggled and he shook his head, all of us eating in pretty much silence. They were both very hungry, I wasn't too much, so they ate quite quickly while I took my time. They sat until I had finished, then went to clear up, so I took my spot on the sofa and changed the tv channel until I was satisfied.
Michael then sat down and changed it again, but I couldn't be bothered to argue.
We watched it together for a while, Calum almost falling asleep on Michael's shoulder, even though Michael was the one who'd worked all day. Their job sounded tiring, to be fair- I didn't know how they did it. I didn't get the interest either, but then I supposed they probably thought writing was boring as shit.
He was just drifting off to sleep as there was a knock on the door, then he practically shot up to answer it.
"You're not the postman,"
"It's like 8pm,"
"I wanted my parcel," he whined, "Maya, it's for you,"
"Hey,"
Ellen poked her head round the door, then pulled Finn inside so they were stood in the doorway.
"We're going to the beach. Wanna come?"
"How far is the beach?"
"Like a half an hour bus,"
"Don't you guys have school tomorrow?" Michael asked.
