Clay POV.
As I sat up a low groan fell from my lips as my hand moved up to my forehead. A major hangover was running through my head and I rubbed my forehead tenderly in an attempt to calm it, not that it worked.
To help calm my thoughts I stood up, stumbling over to the ensuite bathroom and opening one of the cupboards under the sink before moving aside the hair dryer and towels provided by the hotel and grabbing a box of pills. It was white and pale purple and was the same type of panadol I’d brought for George the other day.
There was a glass which I kept beside my bed and I filled it up with water in the sink before quickly gulping down a few mouthfuls and popping two pills into my mouth. I then sighed while leaning against the bathroom wall for a few minutes, hoping my headache would calm down before I went to order breakfast from room service.
When I had calmed down slightly I stumbled out of the bedroom, planning on spending my morning lounging on the couch and watching tv until an interview that I was going into town for this afternoon. But I froze when I heard the sound of someone moving around in one of the other rooms.
Immediately my expression furrowed as I tried to figure out who or what it was. It wasn’t a cleaner, since I told them not to come into my room and even if they did they’d have no reason to clean in one of the spare bedrooms. It also wasn’t some sort of animal, since we were on the sixteenth floor so they wouldn’t be able to get up here.
All of the other people who came to mind had no reasons to be here either. Sapnap, Bad, Karl, any of my other friends were all staying in this hotel or one nearby, there was no point for them to stay over. I thought about what I should do, if I should get out of my room and head to hotel security, or if I should call the police, but eventually I decided to investigate.
This was probably a dumb idea, but I was relatively strong. For several movies I had been in there’d be action scenes and so I’d been through many fitness courses to help with that. Plus, for some of my films I’ve had to learn basic hand-to-hand combat, so if it was some kind of burglar I might be able to knock them out.
I moved quietly over to the set of double doors leading to one of the other bedrooms and hesitated slightly when I grabbed the handle. If I was quick and noisy then whoever was there might panic and if they had a weapon such as a gun that definitely couldn’t be good.
Making sure my movements were slow and silent I turned the handle before nudging open the door. Maybe if I was slow enough whoever was there would think it was just the wind or something. It wasn’t the best idea, and it really depended on how smart the person who was in there was, and I hoped to God that they weren’t smart.
After nudging the door open I moved slightly to look into the room. The lights were turned on which meant that someone had to be here, but I couldn’t see anyone. Feeling more cautious now, since the person could easily be hiding, I stepped inside with my eyes darting back and forth to see if I could spot anyone hiding.
Suddenly, the bathroom door swung open and out stepped George. At first I was confused before realising he was naked and wrapped in a towel and I turned around so I didn’t look at him. “George?” I asked, refusing to make eye contact. “What are you doing here?”
I could tell his eyes were wide and he was most likely blushing from the fact I walked in on him in the shower, but after a cautious breath he explained. “Bad and Skeppy dropped the two of us off here so that I could take care of you while you were drunk. I told them to take us back to my house but they thought here was better.”
“Of course they did.” I sighed. “Sorry about them, I can give you a ride home if you want.”
“That’ll be nice, but can you get out first? I need to dry off and get changed.” The brunette spoke in a somewhat timid voice and I nodded even though he wasn’t looking at me.
“Do you have some clothes or would you like to borrow mine?” I questioned.“I’ll be fine. I’m probably just going to wear my clothes from last night and then I’ll go home and change.” He explained, and I nodded at what he said.
“Cool, I’ll go order us some breakfast from room service. Is there anything you were wanting this morning?” I went on to ask as I walked towards the door.“No, just get me whatever you’re getting and get out so I can change!” His voice grew louder when he neared the end of his sentence and I couldn’t help but shut the door for him as I stepped out. It’d only be a few minutes before he came out of the room and so I collapsed on the couch before grabbing a menu for room service.
I decided to get the English breakfast for both of us, since George was English so he should (by default) like it. It had a lot of things like eggs, bacon, bread, cooked tomatoes, and mushrooms, so even if George didn’t like everything there had to be one or two things that he’d be willing to eat, although I would be okay ordering him something else if he didn’t like it.
I also decided on getting a bottle of orange juice and a bottle of apple juice, since George was bound to like at least one of those and I would be able to drink the other one. Once I’d made up my mind I dialled the number at the bottom of the page for room service and made my order before being told it would be fifteen minutes.
To pass the time I turned on the TV before going onto Netflix. The hotel had a smart TV, but this Netflix account was mine and I logged on to it before beginning to boredly browse through movies and shows that were on my recommendation.
I looked for a while but didn’t find anything interesting until my attention was drawn away from the screen as George stepped into the room. His hair was slightly wet as he walked over to me and made himself comfortable on the couch. “Morning.” He greeted, seemingly deciding to pretend that I did not walk in on him stepping out of the shower.
“Morning.” I simply responded, deciding I’d do the exact same thing as he was going to do.
“What did you end up ordering for breakfast?” The brunette asked curiously as he attempted to tame his wet hair.
“An English breakfast for both of us and some juice.” I stated. “It’ll be here in fifteen minutes.”I glanced over at his clothes which were wrinkled. “Want to borrow some of my clothes instead of wearing yours?” I asked him. “They will be clean and less wrinkly.”
After a moment of hesitation he nodded, giving a small ‘sure’ and so I stood up to go get some clothes from my bedroom. There was a hoodie and sweatpants which would probably be a bit big on the brunette but at least were clean. When I returned to the main room I saw George flicking through movies on Netflix, his eyes focused intently on the screen before turning to look at me. “Is this you?” He asked, motioning at the screen.
I looked at the movie that was shown on the screen and smirked slightly when I saw the title and the image before nodding. “Yeah that is me.” I confirmed.
“Can we watch it?” He asked, even more eagerly now causing me to chuckle.
“I thought that you didn’t like watching movies.” I reminded him, raising an eyebrow.“Most of the time I don’t.” George responded. “But you’ve seen what I do for work about four or five times now and I haven’t seen what you do once.”
“Fine.” I smiled. “We can watch one of my movies. How about you get changed? I have a shower, we wait for our food, and then we can watch a movie?”The brunette nodded eagerly at the offer, and snatched the clothes that I had grabbed for him away from me before heading into the room he’d been staying in, with me doing the exact same.
