George POV.

There was a soft knocking on my door that caught my attention, and I instantly hoped it was who I thought it was. Dropping everything that I was holding I ran to the door in order to see the blond, and feeling a weird buzzing feeling inside of me out of eagerness from the fact that we were going on our third date.

Clay had promised me that this one would not involve us going to public spaces, which meant not having to see any paparazzi or insane exes or celebrities who were a million times better than me in every way. He had kept whatever it was we were doing a secret, only telling me that it was not in a public space, and that was all.

Wilbur followed after me. I had messaged him the day before, asking him to come over once again and help me with my outfit, since although I did have some nice clothes, I definitely didn’t have a fashion style to match both his and Clay’s. So he had spent the last hour going through my clothes, trying to make up a cute outfit for me to wear.

I had personally never seen the point of dressing up for a date, something which shocked Wilbur when he heard me say that. Now though, he had me dressed up in a way that apparently made me look stylish and smart.

He had given me a black pair of dress pants and a blue shirt which was detailed with the logo of some brand I didn’t know, with a white rectangle which had a red outline. Then overtop I was given a dark blue combo jean jacket (as Wilbur called it) which had grey soft cotton sleeves. It was relatively comfortable but I wasn’t sure if it was simple, stylish and smart like he said.

I stopped in front of the door, pausing for a few moments to fix my hair until a light push from behind coaxed me forward. I glanced over my shoulder at Wilbur before moving to open the door. Clay was standing there awkwardly, holding some flowers in his hands and watching the door sheepishly.

“Hi,” I greeted, looking into his eyes. He grinned at me before glancing down to take in my outfit.
“Hey,” he responded. “You look great. I love your outfit.” I took the time afterwards to lower my gaze down his body, and said in response ‘thanks, yours looks good too’.

And it did in fact look good. He had gone for a simple style, a dark green sweater and some grey pants. He pulled off a similar look to what Wilbur said I pulled off; simple, stylish, and smart. He also had a bouquet of blue flowers which he offered out to me. A somewhat bashful smile appeared on my face as I took them and muttered a faint ‘thank you’.

We just admired each other’s appearances for a few moments before Wilbur suddenly broke the silence. “You two lovebirds get out of here.” He said while taking the flowers from my hands and lightly pushing me forward. “I’ll go put these in water and clean up your house and you both go.”
“Wilbur, no need to be rude.” I spoke softly.

“There isn’t any rush,” Clay informed us both. “There are no reservations or anything. It’ll just be quiet and out of the way, exactly how George wanted it.” I let out a quiet ‘aww’ at the way he was being so considerate, and at the gentle smile the blond gave as he offered his hand out for me to take. Wilbur once again broke the silence.

“I don’t care about how much of a rush you guys are in, I just know that George has been single his entire life and so he needs to go on a date now. I just want to see him happy.” The way that my best friend spoke reminded me of a parent, the thought of which made me chuckle.
“Oh, did George not tell you?” Clay asked. “We are dating.”

“Really? Since when?” The brunette asked, giving me somewhat of a death glare since I hadn’t mentioned it to him.
“We met up to talk about what to do with the interview.” I explained. “He asked me out then, said that since everyone thought we were boyfriends then we may as well become boyfriends.”

“That is not what I said.” Clay defended. “But Wilbur is absolutely right, we should go now. I don’t have any reservations, but still I want to see your reaction to everything as soon as possible.” I smiled back at him and took that as a sign to go. So after he finished I took his hand and gave him an adoring look, one that said a thousand things at once.

We began walking to the blond’s car with Wilbur watching us from through the doorway. It was surprisingly warm for a Winter day, and for now there was surprisingly sun visible from the light blue sky. It was pretty, and I found myself looking up at it as I walked down the drive and got into the passenger seat, momentarily glancing back at Wilbur and giving a wave.

He just watched me, an expression on his face which made it seem as though he was already planning our wedding and kids. I blushed at the thought alone but didn’t say anything, keeping my gaze on the window so that Clay couldn’t see how I was looking at this moment. “Bye you two!” Wilbur said enthusiastically as we drove off.

“So, can you tell me where we are going?” I questioned once we were on the road. “I mean, you said the date was a surprise, but…” I trailed off, just moving to fidget with my fingers, trying to put on the most innocent routine possible so that I could try and convince him to tell me.

“Fine, if you want to know, I found a theme park.” He explained. “I paid several hundred thousand dollars so that we’d have it all to ourselves for a day.” His story made my face literally drop. The thought that he rented out an entire theme park for me… it was…
“No you didn’t. You spent several hundred thousand on me?” I questioned.

Clay didn’t respond, instead drumming his fingers on the steering wheel while biting his lip, a grin threatening to spill over. “Clay, you seriously didn’t rent out a huge theme park! If you did, I swear to God!-” I was cut off as he started laughing.
“George. I love you, and I know that you wouldn’t want that, I was messing with you.”

I let out an ‘oh’ sound, feeling awkward that he had both made that joke, and that I had fallen for it, but I was grateful that he didn’t actually have a whole theme park rented out for us, it would be kind of insane. “Thanks for that,” I muttered afterwards. The blond didn’t say anything in response, instead just taking my hand and giving a reassuring squeeze.

“So, you aren’t going to tell me anything?...” I asked, “...like at all?”
“Not until we get there,” he informed me. “But relax, I wouldn’t do anything you weren’t comfortable with, and if you truly didn’t like it we could just drive to McDonalds and get something from the drive thru or whatever.”

It took a while to drive there, but I noted that we were heading away from the city. Occasionally I’d make some guesses, but the blond didn’t answer them, instead changing the conversation to ‘did you see that cute dog we just drove past’ or ‘that bakery over there looks nice, maybe we could get something on the way back’.

Not too long after I gave up asking, we finally made it there. I was about to get out of the car, but Clay told me to stop. His instruction confused me, but he handed me a blindfold and told me to put it on, before also saying that he had to go and check on something first and for me to wait here.

As I went to tie the blindfold around my face I heard him getting out of the car, and while I was tempted to take off the blindfold and look around I didn’t. A few minutes passed as I just waited for him to return, and eventually he did.

A blindfold... That's kinky... Who thinks that he's taking George to some kind of sex dungeon. Or any other guesses as to where they are going.
