As what was planned, I was the one who manages the beach resort of Giana. Well, it was a good thing. For me to unwind here, a little.

I met different people. I met foreign internationals. And I was really amazed on how kind they were on us, Filipinos.

"Hi."

Napalingon ako sa taong bumati sa akin. It was a guy. And upon looking at him, I can say that he has a different ethnicity. He has this blue eyes that really outstands on his overall appearance.

"Hi," I greeted back the blue-eyed man.

I was sitting in a beach chair. I was currently unwinding, enjoyingly looking at the people enjoying the day in the beach. I was alone, and I didn't know someone would approach me here.

"Is this seat available?" he asks, referring to the seat next to mine.

"Yes," I say.

"Can I sit here? If you don't mind."

"Yes, of course!" I say as I guided him on the seat.

He laughed at me a little before sitting down. "I'm Cianne..."

Napanganga ako nang biglaan siyang magsalita, nagpapakilala pa. Napapalingon ako sa kabila ko kahit nagmumukha akong tanga. Kaming dalawa lang rito pero gusto ko paring siguraduhin na ako ang kausap niya.

He chuckled at me.

I wanted to expect he was talking to me since he approached me here but I don't wanna assume things that's why I was making it sure I was the one he was talking with.

"You're cute. I think I already find you funny."

Aba! Ginagawa yata akong clown ng isang 'to, ah?!

"I think..." He trailed off, smiling. "I like you."

Ay, putangina! Gano'n kabilis?! Mas malala pala 'to sa 'kin, e!

"Sorry, taken," walang pag-aalinlangang sabi ko kahit na wala naman akong boyfriend, mataas ang self-confidence.

He chuckled at me again.

Kita mo? Ginagawa nga akong clown! Anong nakakatawa sa sinabi ko?!

"No, I mean..." He trailed off, still laughing while looking at me. "I was finding you cute and I like the way you handled things so easily. So I like you for that."

Ay, puta! Sige Pauleen! Ipahiya mo pa ang sarili mo, ha?

"Putangina," mahina kong sabi, nanggigigil na nakatingin sa lalaki.

Kaagad naman siyang napakunot-noo. "Excuse me? What do you mean by that?"

Inismiran ko siya. Okay lang, hindi naman talaga ako ang may-ari nito. I can quit if he'll file a complaint after this.

"Wa koy gisulti. Giatay ka!" (Wala akong sinabi. Putangina mo!)

I spoke bisaya language. Alam kong hindi niya maiintindihan ang sinabi ko kaya ang lakas ng loob kong pagsalitaan siya nang ganoon.

I learned bisaya language when I went to Cebu for a business trip. I met bisaya people there and I was really amazed on how productive and energetic they were on a wet market. Parang ang bilis nilang makakuha ng customer dahil sa paraan ng paghahakot nila ng customer. And I was glad someone I know in Cebu taught me some bisaya words that I able to communicate with bisaya people in the market.

"What does that mean?" aniya, nakakunot ang noo.

Mahina akong napatawa. Kawawang foreigner, hindi niya alam na minumura ko na siya.
