third person pov.

Hallie woke up that morning with a loss of appetite as she sat down and drank half a cup of coffee and then felt like she was going to be sick afterwards.
Sage became to feel nervous for her friend which made the both of them begin to freak out a bit.

after a small breakfast for Hallie she scurried off to class. barely getting any work done as she sat at her desk tapping her foot and thinking all day about what could go wrong.
she had probably gone over 100 scenarios in her head, thought about how many people were going to be watching her and finally thought about if George had gotten her letter.
she remembered she did see Neptune in his cage that morning so George must have gotten the letter.

after her classes she ran around hoping to see George and drag him with her to Quidditch.
she then thought over how she should probably quit the Quidditch team. even coming up with a whole speech in her head.

as she walked down to the pitch it began to snow light flurries. which made her heart a little bit lighter.

"Hallie!" said George as he ran up behind her.
"oh! there you are i thought you had gotten in trouble with Filch!" she shoved him.
"sorry, i got your letter" he said as he quickly pulled her into a tight hug. she laughed and hugged him back.
"congratulations!"
"thanks! i'm so nervous though" she said as they separated.
"don't be" he smiled.
"al though" he said, she looked up at him.
"you do know you're playing against Gryffindor right?" he raised a brow. Hallie knew, but she also knew that she hadn't had enough time to think about that.

"oh no! this is terrible!" cried Hallie.
"why?"
"isn't Harry Potter a Seeker?! oh and he's amazing!"
"you're going to do great!"
"we're opposite teams. go away!" Hallie joked as she walked over to the changing room.

once she had entered the whole team was talking and getting ready.
Hallie had went straight to a bathroom stall to put on her gear and to try and hype herself up.
once she exited they gathered together, the captain on the team had walked them all through, making sure Hallie was okay to play because she was new and was looking a little pale.

-

once they finished meeting and talking over game strategies they walked out onto the pitch, all the students cheering loudly as the stands roared.
both teams shook hands then Madam Hooch had blew her whistle and all of of them had went soaring into the sky, soon, letting go of the golden snitch fluttering through the sky, no sun to help shine off of the reflective snitch.

Hallie soared around, trying her best not to look down, also trying to focus on not running into anyone or being accidentally hit by a bludger.
she wanted to look into the stands to try and see if she could find her friend Sage but there were to many people cheering, jumping and moving that she didn't have time to look.

just when she had decided to stop and look around for the snitch, her eyes squeezed into slits to look around much easier. she saw the snitch flutter quickly in front of her.
she looked over to see Potter, the seeker of Gryffindor who still hadn't found it and she smirked.
she soared around, chasing her snitch as she bit onto her tongue in concentration, the wind blowing through her hair as snow flurries stuck in it.

she reached out, getting close enough to grab it until just then she heard the soaring of someone right behind her. she knew who it was and she tried to go a bit faster but Potter had zoomed past her and grabbed the snitch, flying around in circles as he celebrated, the stands roaring as he flew around with his hand in the air.
Hallie thought of multiple curse words she had wanted to say but bit her tongue even harder.

she soared down to the ground and landed next to the team.
she apologized to the team who patted her back and told her it was okay even though they had all felt a little bitter.
Hallie looked at the jumping, celebrating Gryffindor team and frowned.

"hey, good job" said George, walking up behind her.
"yeah you did great" said Fred who was walking up behind George.
"can't believe it." said Hallie, still holding onto her tongue. she looked at the twins.
"congrats" she smiled at them.
they looked to each other than thanked her.
"can i invite you to the Gryffindor common room, we're having a party to celebrate?"
"celebrate with with the team who beat us?" Hallie crossed her arms. feeling a bit bitter.

"oh come on, no one cares if a Hufflepuff will be there. besides, i'll be there with you" smiled George.
Fred had already parted with them after seeing Sage and catching up with her.
Hallie sighed. how did a second year beat me. she thought, feeling very competitive. eventually, she looked up at George and caved.

she informed George she was going to take a shower and change, and he had agreed with her that he was going to do the same.
so Hallie had taken a shower and got dressed once she got back to her dorm.

"Hallie?" she heard a voice coming from the bedroom.
she opened the bathroom door, and saw Sage who had entered their dorm room.
"hey" Hallie said, drying her hair.
"you did really great!"
"it would've been better if we won" Hallie rolled her eyes.
"don't be a sore loser"
"yeah... you know at least Fred and George won. i really should congratulate Potter" she smiled.
"i'll meet you at the party, i just needed to get dressed"

Hallie raised her brows at her friend.
"what?" Sage questioned her as she played around with her hair in the mirror.
"Fred invited you to the Gryffindor party then?"
"yes" Sage began to blush as she smiled to herself. now looking in her drawers for something else to wear. something party like she thought.
Hallie smirked then continued getting ready.

Sage had already left when Hallie was pulling on her converse and looking in the mirror as she messed with her hair and touched up her makeup.
she was a bit nervous to be in a room full of celebrating Gryffindors. but she quickly relaxed once she had gotten there because George's smile completely comforted her.

he lead her over to a table with drinks (mainly alcoholic beverages. but decided against that and went with a butterbeer)
her and George hung out together, mostly joking about the game and how "bad" each other were.
she had completely loosened up and forgot all about the bitter feeling she felt when she lost.

after loosing George to Fred (who pulled him aside to show some innocent first years their "totally regular sweets") she walked around looking for Sage.
but before she could she saw Harry Potter and decided to congratulate him.
Harry was pretty well known, because of his survival with You-Know-Who.
but Hallie didn't care about that, she didn't think of him as that. she thought of him as a pretty bloody good Seeker.

"Potter" she said, he turned to look at her, having to look up just a bit.
"you're really good at Quidditch" she smiled.
"oh- thanks" he smiled.
"i'm Hallie- uh Gold" smiled Hallie, shaking his hand with her free hand.
"congratulations on winning by the way" she smiled.
Harry thanked her and they had talked about the match for a bit until George had come back and apologized for leaving Hallie and joined into the conversation until Harry had been pulled away and George and Hallie were left alone.

they talked for a bit until Hallie had grown tired of the music and people talking and had a headache, so decided to go back to her dorm.
George offered to walk her back and Hallie agreed.
Fred and Sage soon joining them.
the two girls said goodbye to the twins then went up to their dorms.
Hallie immediately falling asleep from exhaustion.

1387 words.
