"HEY, DO YOU GUYS HAVE A SECOND?" Tyler questioned as Mason and Charlie were on their way out the door. For some reason, the two of them had been invited to Elena's house for a barbecue. Well, the girl understood why she would have been invited, but she was really confused about her uncle coming.
The oldest Lockwood shook his head as he grabbed his bag. "No, man. Barbecue at Jenna Sommers' house."
"Come on, man. Give me two minutes, alright?" the boy pleaded, and his sister could not help but feel bad. She remembered when she activated the curse and how confused and scared that she was. Mason had ordered her not to say anything, though, and despite the fact that she really did not care what he thought, she kept her mouth shut for the time being. "You can't keep dodging me. I'm freaking out over here!"
"Tyler, what do you want me to say man? Yes, I turned into a wolf. No, it's not gonna happen to you," Mason informed him with a sigh. Charlie did not understand why he was the annoyed one since Tyler was the one that was terrified and confused.
He furrowed his eyebrows. "How do you know that?"
"Because you're not gonna trigger the curse," their uncle informed him, nodding slightly at him when he turned around before he opened the door. He explained, "Your dad didn't know anything about any of this neither did I until it happened to me." "Same for me," the female added since she had not even known that the supernatural existed until she got in that drunken car crash with Jenny.
Tyler took a couple steps toward them curiously as his uncle rolled up his sleeves. "How does it get triggered?"
"Ignorance is bliss," Mason assured him. "Trust me."
"Come on, Mason. He's just curious about what might happen to him," Charlie groaned out. She really thought that Tyler deserved to know about their family and its history with the supernatural and werewolves.
The man shook his head. "It's not going to happen to him."
"It's a possibility, and if it does, he'll need to know how to deal with it," she pointed out. Of course, she could always teach him, but what if she was not around? Also, she had not even been a werewolf for a year, so Mason had a lot more experience and knowledge than she did about it.
