"MATT'S BUMMING PRETTY HARD," Tyler pointed out to Caroline as the two walked through the woods and toward the Lockwood Ruins Cellar. The two were talking about how bummed Matt was about the breakup between him and Caroline. She had broken up with him because the urge to rip open his neck was getting to be too much, and she could not tell him the truth.

"I know," the blonde girl replied, looking down at the ground with a sigh. "It's better this way."

He shrugged, and as he spoke, they both paused to look at each other, sending sincere looks to each other that looked awfully lovey-dovey. "I get it. You can't be honest with him. It's not really fair to be with someone and not really let them know who you are. I get it."

"God, will you guys stop flirting? It's nauseating, and it's slowing us down," Charlie called from about ten yards in front of them. The full moon was coming up, and she was trying to walk her brother through what was going to happen without freaking him out too much. They were not speaking very loud, but she could still hear them without her werewolf hearing. They started walking again, and they finally reached the spot. She gestured down at the stairs below her, even though she already knew that both of them knew what it was. "Right over here. There's a cellar that goes to our old property."

The other two nodded at her before she led them down the stairs, the Forbes girl in between the two siblings. The boy warned, "Watch your step." Tyler and Charlie turned on their flashlights as they entered the cellar and moved the beams of light around the room.

"I'm guessing this is where Mason and you were headed the night you turned," the older sibling spoke.

"Well, actually, we were already down here, but you had to bring your hookup to the cool creepy cellar. So, we had to run before you guys saw anything," she explained to him, and he made a face like he was trying to remember that night and who he was with. She gestured for them to follow her. "Let's go. It's this way."

She headed deeper into the cellar with Caroline and Tyler cautiously entering behind him. The blonde girl quizzed, "Did Mason tell you about this place?"

"No, he just told me to find somewhere secure back at home before the full moon," she answered, and then shined her light along the wall of the cellar to reveal some bolts and chains. "But I found these."
