"YOU WANT ME TO WHAT?" CHARLIE ASKED WHEN SHE WAS ON THE PHONE with Damon . He had just called her and said something really fast, and she was no sure that she caught all of it. She had heard something about the Mikaelsons and Esther and Kol and Klaus and something about the Grill.
He took a deep breath before speaking again. He seemed nervous about what he was saying, like there was a possibility that she would kick his ass if she knew what he was asking of her. "Just go to the bar with Caroline and distract Kol while she distracts Klaus."
"Why do you think Kol would even pay attention to me?" she questioned. She had spoken to the guy once at the ball. He had flirted with her a little bit, but she assumed that he did that with a lot of people. He seemed like the type. He probably did not even remember her name.
"Oh, please," he scoffed, and she could practically see the smirk on his face as he informed her, "Last night, he was looking at you like he wanted to rip your clothes off right then and there."
Her jaw dropped, definitely not expecting him to say that. "Damon!"
"It's true," he responded with a shrug. He had seen many a lustful look in his time, and the way that Kol was looking at the Lockwood girl was definitely one of them. If not lust, it was at least attraction. "Just talk to him for long enough for Alaric to do his thing."
"Why are we doing this again?" she quizzed because she had kind of missed the first part of the conversation where he explained the purpose of everything that they were doing.
He groaned, a little annoyed, but in her defense, he had spoken at lightning speed. How was she supposed to understand his frantic rambling? "Because Esther has a plan to kill all of them."
"Esther is Mama Mikaelson?" she asked to clarify. She had heard the name, but she was not completely sure because it was such a usual name in their generation.
"Yes."
She furrowed her eyebrows because it was an unusual situation for a mother and her children. She knew that Klaus was awful, but she always thought he was one of those people that only a mother could love or something. It really said something about either him or his mother or both that even she could not stand him. "And she's trying to kill her kids?"
