CHARLIE, JEREMY, MATT, AND KATHERINE WERE AN INTERESTING GROUP. They were all standing at Matt's pickup truck, and they had finally found the Pierce woman wandering somewhere. She could not get very far on foot. Charlie's phone rang, and she answered and put it on speaker so that they could all hear Damon. "Please tell me you found her."

"We didn't, but Matt did," Charlie answered.

Damon was completely and utterly shocked at that, and he made sure that they knew, letting out a huge and exaggerated gasp, causing all of them to roll their eyes at each other because of his antics. "Huh. How shockingly...useful."

"Those blue eyes...they made me soft. I should've ripped your head off when I had the chance," the ex-vampire informed the Donovan boy as he continued to bind her wrists together, not responding.

Jeremy glanced over to where Katherine was struggling. She honestly looked like she was dying, which she kind of was. She had not been sick in hundreds and hundreds of years. "She was mid-cat-fight with some lady who maced her. We think Silas might have mind-controlled himself some new friends."

"How exactly did the Gilbert-Donovan-Lockwoof brain trust put all that together?" the vampire over the phone questioned. "Never mind, it doesn't matter. Just hide her. If Silas wants her bad enough to sic the whole town on her, that means we want her more. Stay out of sight. Jeremy and Charlie, you guys were the last people who Silas saw her with."

"Are these ropes really necessary?" Katherine questioned as Jeremy reached over and hung up the phone before handing it back to his girlfriend.

She was leaning against the truck, and he leaned next to her and put his arm on the hood behind her as he answered the other woman that looked like his sister. "Bullet would've been more effective, but we're trying to be nice. You crashed my car and left me to die."

"You were gonna hand me over to Silas to get Stefan back," she justified, but there was definitely a better way to acheive that than almost killing him. Charlie still would not stop glaring at her, and everytime she spoke, the hybrid wanted to slit her throat. "I was just protecting myself."
