CHARLIE WOKE UP, NAKED ON HER LAWN. She was shivering because of the cold, and she did not really want to sit up and look around because she did not want to flash her neighbors, and it would also get even more cold when she wasn't balled up. The grass was cold beneath her body, and there were some rocks tangled in it that were jabbing into her side.

Luckily, she did not have to stay like that for very long because moments later, she felt a blanket wrap around her and Caroline's soft voice entered her ear. "Hey, Char. It's Caroline. You made it. It's okay. Let's get you inside."

The blonde girl led her into the house, and she took a quick scan of the room to make sure that everything was okay. She sniffed the air for any traces of blood or werewolf poison seeping into anyone's veins. Once she was sure that everything was all right, she felt safe to go upstairs and put some clothes on.

Once she was changed, she took a seat on her bed and ran a tired hand through her hair. She was about to just crash and go to sleep when her phone rang. She groaned but picked it up from where Caroline left it on the dresser and sat back down. She looked at the called ID and furrowed her eyebrows when she saw that it was Damon.

"Hey, what's up?" she questioned, picking it up. She was not really in the mood to make a snarky comment believe it to not.

The man said nothing for a moment, and the Lockwood girl was scared that he had gotten murdured or something. She was about to say his name when he finally started talking. "Charlie, I have something to tell you."

"What's wrong?" the brunette girl asked because the tone of his voice made her really really concerned. She didn't think she ever heard him sounding like this. Charlie never thought she would be scared to not hear Damon's sarcastic voice. "You didn't comment on the fact that I actually said hi to you."

"So, um, apparently, there was a part of Klaus's spell that we weren't aware of," the vampire informed her, and now she knew that it was not good.

She furrowed her eyebrows as she stood up. Her foot had been tapping nervously, and she was too nervous to just sit down. She had to move because of the anticipation. "And?"
