CHARLIE AND JEREMY WERE WALKING TO WORK TOGETHER. It was a nice day, so they had decided to walk instead of drive. However, that seemed to be a bad idea because, when they were right outside, a stake came flying out of nowhere and impaled itself in the hybrid's chest.

"Charlie!" Jeremy yelled, and he caught her as she fell and groaned. He was about to remove the wood from her heart when an arm grabbed him and dragged him back. He looked up to see Connor standing above him, some fancy crossbow in hand. Both of them were shocked to see the man because they had thought that he was blown up in the explosion at the hospital, but there he was, firing at them. How did he get out?

He pointed it at him when he tried to move toward the girl, and Jeremy raised his hands in surrender. He ordered for him to get up and nudged inside the grill before grabbing the girl and pulling her in as well. Her cries of pain could no longer be heard by the outdoors once the door slammed shut.

Jeremy's eyes widened when he saw that Matt and April were inside. Why April was there, he had no clue, but they needed to get her the hell out of there. Charlie was trying to pull the stake out of her chest, but Connor whipped around, took out a normal gun, and shot her right in the head.

The Lockwood girl woke up a few moments later with a giant pain shooting through her head and all over her body. She was tied against a chair opposite a booth with Jeremy, Matt, and April, and she had a stake through her stomach and both her legs, pinning her down. As well as that, her hands were tied back with ropes covered in vervain or wolfsbane, if not both. All she knew was that it hurt like hell. For the first couple of seconds after she woke up, she was numb, but once the pain kicked in, she screamed loudly. Her voice was muffled by a gag covered in vervain as well in her mouth.

The Gilbert boy stood up so fast he almost knocked over the table. "Charlie!"

"Sit down! Sit down!" Connor ordered, pointing his gun directly into the middle of the boy's chest. When that did not do anything and he proceeded to move toward the Lockwood, the hunter turned the gun on her. The Gilbert boy froze and backed away, especially once the girl shot him a pleading look to do so, tears pouring down her face.
