"YEAH, I'LL COME OVER IN ABOUT AN HOUR," Charlie informed Caroline over the phone as she walked up her front porch steps. The blonde girl had invited her over to hang out and maybe watch a movie, and the werewolf wanted to shower and change into more comfortable clothes first.

As she pulled out her keys to unlock the front door, the girl on the other end of the line responded, "Okay, I'll see you in a little bit."

"See you then," the brunette told her, and then, she hung up as she swung the door open. She placed her keys on the table, and when she looked up, she gasped. "Mom?"

Her mother was lying, unconscious, at the bottom of the stairs, and she was not moving. The girl rushed over to the woman and turned her onto her back, seeing a little bit of blood dripping from her hair line. She quickly checked her mother's pulse and was relieved to find out that she had one. She shook her lightly in an attempt to wake her up. "Mom!"

About three hours later, the Lockwood girl was sitting in a hospital room with her mother in the bed a couple of feet away from her. The doctors had informed her that she would be fine. She just needed a couple days to recover. Based on where she was when her daughter found her, Charlie gathered that she fell down the stairs, but there was no way that a smal tumble could cause that much damage. The door opened again, and the brunette girl stood up quickly, expecting it to be the doctor with more news about when her mother would wake up. It was not the doctor.

It was Tyler.

"Tyler?" she exclaimed in shock, and she did not wait a second before throwing her arms around her brother in an embrace. He hugged her back until she pulled away and whacked him hard on the shoulder.

He grunted, "What the hell?"

"You left us with nothing but a freaking note! It wasn't even a good note!" she yelled loudly, hitting him repeatedly over and over again on the chest and stomach. He groaned, even though she was just smacking him lightly and causing him no harm. "And now you're back as soon as someone gets hurt? How do you even know anyway?"

"First of all, I worked really hard on those letters. Second of all, she left me a voicemail a few hours ago and told me that she had been in an accident. What happened?" he explained before questioning.
