CHARLIE WAS AT WORK WHEN SHE NOTICED THAT JEREMY WAS not at work for his shift. They were both supposed to work then, and somehow, everyone was there but him. Elena and Bonnie were sitting at a table, and Damon and Alaric were at the bar. She furrowed her eyebrows and went over to one of the other waitresses. "Hey, have you seen Jeremy? He was supposed to be working today."
"Oh, you didn't hear?" the girl questioned, and Charlie shook her head, wondering what she meant. "He got fired last week."
"What? Why?" the Lockwood girl exclaimed, and the other waitress just shrugged and got back to work. The hybrid has so many questions like why did he get fired? And why didn't he tell her about it? Did he tell anyone about it?
She walked over to the bar where the two adult men were sitting. She leaned on her elbows on the other side of the counter and grabbed some of their peanuts that they got with their scotch. Alaric turned to her with a curious expression. "Hey, can you get Jeremy? I've got to talk to him."
"He didn't tell you either?" she asked, and they both looked at her with confusion.
Judging by the look on his face, Jeremy had not told him or anyone else about him getting fired. She did not see why since it probably was not even that bad. "Tell me what?"
"He got fired last week," she informed him before walking away because the last thing she needed was to get yelled at again for talking to her friends, if she could even call them that.
She worked a little longer, and Alaric and Bonnie left, leaving Elena and Damon playing darts on the other end of the restaurant. She brought them the drinks that they ordered, and her eyes widened when she saw Klaus standing with them. As she placed the drinks down on the table, she heard Damon say to the Original. "I'm surprised you stuck around town long enough for happy hour."
"Ah, Charlotte. Stay for a little bit, won't you?" Klaus acknowledged her presence and, wanting to keep him happy, she nodded and stood in between him and Damon as they all spat stuff at each other. "My sister seems to be missing. Need to sort that out."
"Cute blonde bombshell, psycho. Shouldn't be too hard to find," the Salvatore man pointed out, and the Lockwood girl had a feeling that they knew exactly where Rebekah was. She felt a little left out but knew that it was necessary so that she did not spill anything to Klaus.
