TECHNOLOGY WAS TRULY A WONDER. Charlie had no clue how many phones were on the call that she was on at that moment, but she knew that it was at least three phones and more people. Matt was upstairs in Charlie's house while she sat with Jeremy on a bench in the park, and they were speaking to Bonnie and Caroline and Tyler.

"Hang on here.. Katherine's still alive? How is that possible?" Matt questioned. They had just gotten this whole explanation from Bonnie, and they were shocked. They also felt like crap.

"Remember that time Nadia's ex, Gregor, hitched a ride in your head?" Caroline asked him, and Charlie watched as Jeremy got up and paced back and forth. "Yeah, well, it's kind of the same thing. Katherine is a passenger in Elena, except it's worse, because none of us seemed to notice!"

Charlie shook her head because it really made no sense, and they all felt awful because none of them noticed that it was not actually Elena. "She was at my house. How did none of us figure it out?"

"Because it's Katherine, and she's smart, and conniving, and sneaky... and we're the worst friends ever," the Forbes woman groaned. She was right. What kind of friends did not realize that their friend was not their friend?

"This makes no sense. She saved my life," Jeremy reminded them. When Enzo had kidnapped him and tried to kill him, 'Elena' had swooped in and saved him. That was really odd if she was not really Elena and actually Katherine who had tried to kill Jeremy on multiple occasions. "She gave me CPR when Enzo tried to kill me. Katherine would never do that."

Charlie was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that Katherine was still freaking alive. Bonnie sighed, "That's what made her so believable. She played Elena to a tee. If she let you die, her cover was blown."

"I was sleeping three feet away from her! She picked out my Bitter Ball dress. And I let her use my toothpaste!" Caroline exclaimed, and it was honestly kind of crazy that she did not notice. Charlie would never say that because it would break her best friend's heart. Caroline was already gpoing through a hard time because Tyler found out that she slept with freaking Klaus Mikaelson.

When Charlie first found that fact out, she felt extremely betrayed. Klaus had taken away her normal life and killed her mother. She hated him more than anyone, and she definitely understood why Tyler flipped out. However, the Lockwood girl had resorted to a different form of torture than yelling — silence.
