CHARLIE WENT WITH HER MOTHER TO GET TYLER FROM THE HOSPITAL. Once they got home and opened the door, Tyler was not pleased to see two men standing in his foyer. He furrowed his eyebrows, going into defensive mode to protect his sister and mother. "Who the hell are you two?"

"Tyler, it's okay," Carol assured him, grabbing his arm to stop him from attacking the people. "They're here for your protection."

"More deputies?" he asked incredulously. He had had an officer standing guard outside his door at the hospital, and they had people escorting them home. He felt like he had absolutely no privacy because there was someone following him everywhere. Carol had also increased security a bit on her daughter but not that much because they were hoping that the hunter did not know that she was a vampire just yet.

Tyler audibly groaned when Klaus entered the room from the parlor with another man following behind him. He smirked, "Not exactly."

"They're hybrids," Tyler sighed, rolling his eyes. He had gotten his fair share of being around a crap ton of hybrids when he was sired to Klaus and had to do whatever he wanted.

"I was halfway to Chicago when I heard you were attacked," the Original informed him, taking a couple more steps forward and shooting a polite look to Carol who smiled gratefully and Charlie who glared. "I had hoped to leave Mystic Falls for good, but duty calls."

Tyler muttered sarcastically in response, letting him know that he was unwanted and not needed. "Nice to know you care."

"I don't. I should have killed you for the little stunt you and your friends pulled," the Mikaelson told him, still pissed off about the fact that they had tried to kill him without actually killing him. He would have been pretty much conscious but unable to move in the ocean for millions of years probably. "Stopping my heart, leaving me in a coffin to rot."

"Yeah, well you used my body as an escape hatch, then kissed my girlfriend. So, maybe we're even," Tyler reminded him, still bitter about the fact that while Klaus was in his body, he had pretended to be him and let Caroline make out with him.

"Not even close. But, you hybrids are a dying breed. I can't make more of you, and I won't have anyone taking liberties with the ones I have left," Klaus told him. Now that Elena was a vampire, he had no more doppelganger blood to make hybrids with. "Consider them your new bodyguards."
