CHARLIE FURROWED HER EYEBROWS IN CONFUSION when she heard her doorbell ring as she was lying in bed. They were not expecting anyone as far as she knew, so she made her way to the top of the stairs as her mother opened the door to greet whoever it was. "Elijah, Elena! What are you doing here? What happened?"

"I've had a bit of an incident, Carol," the Original man informed her, and the Lockwood girl's eyes widened. The last time she saw him, he had a stake in his chest, and he was in the Salvatore's basement. So, how the hell was he awake? "I'm hoping you could help."

"Well, I'm on my way to a meeting, so I—" she told him, gesturing behind him to the outside.

He cut her off by grabbing her shoulder and using compulsion. The brunette girl at the top of the stairs tensed up, ready to defend her mother if needed even though she stood no chance against the Original. "It won't take but a minute of your time."

"Of course. Anything you need," she offered with a polite smile, blinded by the compulsion, backing up so that they could step inside.

"Thank you," he responded, and he and Elena stepped inside. He gestured to his kind of bloody and torn up suit that he had on. "Well, first things first. I'm going to need a change of clothing."

Carol thought for a second before quickly coming with a good solution. "Well, we can try one of my husband's suits. I haven't boxed them up yet."

"Wonderful," he replied, and the two watched as she went upstairs, not even glancing at her daughter as she passed her. The vampire man grinned up at the girl when he saw her, though. "Why, hello, Charlotte. Pleasure to see you again."

"Nice to see you too. Um, can I asked why you're here and why you just compelled my mother to get you a suit?" she questioned as she walked down the stairs to meet the two at the bottom.

He shrugged and answered, "I took her off vervain a couple of weeks ago, and I knew that she would be happy to help. Also, I wanted to speak to you and Elena about something."

"O...kay," the brunette girl said, still a little confuzzled. She waited downstairs with Elena as her mother helped Elijah find a suit that would fit him.
