THEY WERE LOOKING AROUND THE ENTIRE SCHOOL FOR BONNIE. They had figured out that the school was in the middle of the triangle, and therefore would be where she decided to complete whatever the hell spell she was doing to help Silas. Stefan and Charlie entered the cafeteria with flashlights and found Caroline there. The Lockwood girl walked over to her. "Hey, there you are. Any luck?"

"I searched the whole school. She should be here," she groaned, and the silence was broken after her speaking by something falling over. They all whipped around, searching for the source of the noise. "What was that?" They walked over to the kitchens cautiously, Caroline approached the freezer and opened it to reveal a bag of ice, which started dripping onto the floor.

"Hm. Ice is melting," Stefan muttered, and Caroline closed the door. Why ice would be melting in a freezer, Charlie neither knew nor cared. She was more worried about the fact that Silas, one of the oldest freaking vampires, if not the oldest, was about to get what he wanted than the fact that the school freezer was not doing its job.

The blonde girl groaned and ran a stressed hand through her hair. They had checked every classroom and every hallway. Bonnie was nowhere to be found. "Ugh. It just doesn't make any sense. This is the center of the triangle. If she's gonna do the spell, she has to do it here. This is where they should be."

"Actually, I think we're in the right place..." Stefan trailed off, and he shined his flashlight onto the floor, where the water from the melting ice was flowing down a drain. They look at him with confused expressions until he spoke again. The drain must have given him an idea, unless the melting ice had something to do with Bonnie. He finished, "...just the wrong elevation."
That made a lot of sense. They needed to get down to the basement somehow. Charlie had never been down there. Why would she? All of her classes were on the normal floor, and the basement was not something that she was particularly interested in searching for. Stefan called Damon to explain everything that they had figured out to him and Elena, who were currently searching upstairs. The older brother told them, "If I remember correctly, I think there's an entrance in the basement."

"Well, where's the basement?" the younger brother asked since they were already aware of the fact that they wanted to find the basement. He was not contributing to their knowledge at all.
