CHARLIE WAS STANDING IN THE DOORWAY OF her father's office, just around the corner so that her brother, who was sitting at the desk, could not see her. He was calling someone, who she assumed was Mason for the millionth time, while re-watching the video of Mason's transformation so that he knew how to prepare just in case something happened to his sister between now and then. After a second of ringing, no one picked up the phone, so he left a voicemail. "Mason, it's Tyler again. Look, your cell's voicemail is full. I need to talk to you. It's a full moon tomorrow and...I found your recording, and I'm freaking out over here. Charlie's been great with everything, but I just need you. So, just call me back, please."

She frowned, and she knew that she would have to tell him sooner or later. Now was not the time, though, with him freaking out about the full moon that night. The two siblings were about to head out the door when a voice stopped them.

"Heading out?" their mother questioned, causing them to turn around to face her.

"Yeah...lunch at the Grill," the older sibling answered before covering for both of them." I've got practice, and I'll probably go out after. Charlie's got a date, so we'll be late."

The brunette girl smiled when she realized something about the last part of his sentence. "Hey, that rhymed." Just then, there was a knock on the door, and all of the members of the family furrowed their eyebrows because they were not expecting anyone. Tyler swung it open, and Charlie gasped when she saw who it was.

"Hi," the woman greeted, waving slightly at both of them, a little worried about the sibling who was still in shock.

Tyler, still confused, responded, "Hey."

"Jules?" the younger female exclaimed. She had stayed with her and Mason over the summer when she was in werewolf training or whatever, but she had not seen the woman for months.

"Hey, Charlie," she smiled, and the Lockwood girl fought the urge to roll her eyes. She had never really liked Jules because she always seemed so bitter all the time. The woman then turned to her brother. "Sorry. Rude. You have no idea who I am. I'm Jules, a friend of Mason's from Florida. You must be Tyler.
