CHAPTER 52

Winter wakes up with big energy today because finally she can go anywhere as she likes without worrying about anything. the driver and car that Jicheol gave her is really helpful.

"are we going somewhere again?" Karina noticed her bright face.

"sadly, no. I have to go to campus." Winter smiles at her. "have you been having fun?" she asked, walking to the dresser.

"I have. Looks like you're starting to like going out." Karina, being a homebody, commented on it.

"I guess it's because I've never been so free. I can spend my money on something now." Winter looks at her who's still on the bed. "I can buy you stuff, I can give you gifts, surprises. I can make you happy."

"I'm happy to be with you." Karina smiles at her, getting out of the bed. She walks towards Winter and hugs her. "I love you so much. You are enough for me, love."

"I want more, Karina. I want to make you the happiest girl in the world. I promise you I will." Winter snuggles in her neck. "okay, I need to get ready."

Winter arrived at the campus. With the car, it doesn't take very long time to get there. She walks in and goes straight to the room that the professor told her.

"hey guys." Winter greeted as soon as she sees her friends.

"yo! Long time no see, man!" Yeonjun greeted back. "have a seat."

"hi, Winter." Chaehyun greeted a little awkwardly.

Winter sits beside her, keeping a good distance from her. the four of them are in a computer room where they can work comfortably with the program.

Not long after that, the professor shows up. he puts some folders on the table and sits beside Kai.

"good morning, guys. I have a contract that I need you to read and here they are." He gave them the files to read.

"I'm in." Yeonjun said as soon as he opens the contract.

"you're quite bold." Professor Wang commented. "take your time to read it. another thing, I have these files for what you have to do to the program. Many people are investing in this. when it launched officially, you guys are gonna get a good pay."

The students gave back the contract with no complaints. They then reads the other files filled with planning and frameworks for the program.

"it'll take a long time to update the software. How long do we have to finish it?" Chaehyun asked.

"well, if you're willing to sleep here, then it'll take weeks only." The professor chuckles. "I'm not that bad of a person. You guys are still students. My target is in three months. I'm sure you guys will already be graduates." He smiles. "I suggest you work here for better performance."

"will do, sir. I don't even have the software to make these programs now." Winter said as she reads the files. "what about your company?"

"oh, you guys will present it as the developer. This program is yours. I won't take it from you, and you will get the credit. I don't like to exploit my students, especially when they're as great as you guys." the professor smiles at them. "well, then. I won't be checking you often. I trust you guys with this."

"thank you, sir. We'll do our best."

And from there, the four of them starts working on the programs.

Winter is now left alone with Chaehyun. As usual, the other two left a little early.

"aren't you gonna go home?" Winter asked Chaehyun as she turns off the computer and plugs out the USB connected to her laptop. "it's getting dark."

"I'm almost done." Chaehyun smiles a little.

"okay." Winter then checks her phone, seeing if Karina texted her.

Karina: I'm on my way home

Karina: your driver is nice

Karina: I'm okay, though, really

Karina: tell me when you're on your way. I bought some food for you and your driver as well

Karina: he's on his way to you

Winter: okay. I'll wait for him. it's okay. I want you to go faster with the car. You don't have to wake up too early. See you at home, love.

"are you gonna order an uber?" Chaehyun interrupted her.

"oh, no, my driver will pick me up." Winter smiles at her. "let's go outside."

The two soon stands at the front of the campus entrance. Winter waits patiently, while Chaehyun orders herself an uber.

"so, you have a driver now?" Chaehyun opens up a conversation.

"yeah. Someone's help." Winter replied as needed.

"oh." Chaehyun looks away as the atmosphere is getting awkward. "how are you doing?"

"I'm doing great. I have a loving girlfriend, I have a driver, someone to pay for my study, and I have more money to spend on myself and my girl." Winter smiles to herself.

"I'm happy for you." Chaehyun pressed a smile. "I'm sorry for that day."

"why did you bring it up? we're good now. don't think about it." Winter smiles at her. "it happened. Forget it."

"okay."

"that's my car. I'll be going." Winter said as soon as she sees it. "take care, Chae."

Getting in the car, the driver greets Winter with a smile.

"how's your day, miss?" he asked as he starts driving again.

"well, things starts to get better." Winter who prefers sit on the front, puts on the seatbelt. "please, just call my name, Yoongi." She let out a small laugh.

"ah, okay." he smiles a little. "miss Yu has already bought some food for you. she's really sweet. I appreciate it."

"yeah, she had told me."

Winter invited Yoongi to the apartment unit to eat with them. Karina had prepared enough food for them, so, Winter sits beside Karina and Yoongi sits across them.

"don't be so stiff around us." Karina said as she serves herself and Winter some food. "you're going back to your apartment after this, right?"

"yes, miss." He replied kindly. "if I may ask, do you have any appointment tomorrow?"

"I don't. do you wanna go somewhere?" Winter asked, looking at Karina.

"I'd rather stay home." Karina then looks at Yoongi. "do you have other plan tomorrow?"

"yes, miss. Mr. Gong has a business abroad and asked me to come along. If you still need me, Mr. Gong will hire a temporary driver." Yoongi explained.

"for how long? I have to go to campus on Saturday."

"oh, then, I'll tell Mr. Gong that I'll go back on Friday." Yoongi smiles at them.

"you can do that? if Jicheol needs you then it's okay. you can go back when you can." Winter raised he eyebrows.

"yes, I can do that. I was paid to serve you and make you my priority. It's my job. Mr. Gong told me put you first. He really cares about you." Yoongi responded.

"ah, is that so?" Winter nods in understanding. "I guess we're really close back then."
