CHAPTER 68 (M)

Winter is getting ready to go to campus again. So far, nothing goes perfectly fine for a few weeks at the new apartment. Karina is still sleeping because she needs to be present only 5 days a week. Other than that, she can manage things from home, unless she needs to do something important at the company.

"babe?" Winter taps Karina's shoulder. "I'm going to campus."

"what do you want for dinner?" Karina sleepily asked.

"I'll be home before dinner. This is your free day. I won't leave for long." Winter kisses her forehead. "you can sleep. I'll get us something to eat."

"okay." Karina wraps her arms around Winter's neck. "movies?"

"we'll watch movies later." Winter chuckles at her cuteness.

"okay."

Winter finally gets to see her friends again. They're all worried about her after she told them what happened.

"I feel sorry for you, bro." Yeonjun greeted, standing up to guide Winter to her seat.

"I can walk." Winter stifles. "I'm okay now. Arm a little stiff but it's okay."

"you're fucking cool. There must be a lot of shootings, huh?" Yeonjun chuckles.

"sort of." Winter takes out her laptop. "so, where are we?"

"you actually came at the right time because tomorrow we'll present it to the investors." Chaehyun informed. "professor Wang approved the final program. Today we're gonna test it."

"okay..."

For the final check the four of them works on the program even more. When they found bugs, they fixed it, when something doesn't sit right, they revised it.

"I think that's enough." Kai is getting tired with this program.

"you think so?" Winter is still not sure about the result but the professor approved so it should be enough, right?

"yeah. I wanna move to another project. That is if we have one." Kai sighs. "you can check it again if you want."

"let's get some air." Yeonjun said to kai then they both walks out of the room.

"are you still with Kai?" Winter asked Chaehyun to break the silence.

"we're not even together." Chaehyun looks at her. "it was a drunk kiss. He said it was a mistake."

"you'll find someone better than him." Winter sad as she turns off her laptop. She then takes out her phone to tell Karina that she's done.

"you're going already?" Chaehyun is a little confused because Winter usually gets home late.

"yes. My girlfriend is on her day off. I wanna spend more time with her." Winter smiles at her.

"you make me regret rejecting you back there." Chaehyun said it as a joke. "if I can find someone like you, I would be happy. My parents would."

"I'm sure you will." Winter pats her hand. "why don't you pack up as well. I don't think they'll continue after their break."

"okay."

They got out of the campus and found Kai and Yeonjun hanging out on a bench, smoking, and talking to each other.

"you stopped smoking?" Chaehyun questioned.

"sort of." Winter replied. "I just don't have time. Besides, I'm doing fine without it."

"good for you." Chaehyun looks down.
