CHAPTER 41

Winter walks down the stairs with unbearable nervousness, it feels like her heart is about to jump out of her chest. She soon sees Karina smiling in front of her own unit. The two make a long eye contact.

"good morning." Karina greeted. "I saw what you did to my laptop." She wraps her arms around Winter's neck, getting them closer.

Winter got taken aback by how bold this girl can be, considering how easy it is to make her blush and flustered. Winter smiles at her than looks down because she can't bear the feeling of heat on her face.

"you are a shy girl." Karina teases her. "look up."

Winter looks up. Suddenly, a pair of lips attached to her own. Winter is a little surprised but follows along. With her minimal knowledge of something like this, Winter managed to follow Karina's pace. She closes her eyes fully, getting into the kiss more passionately.

Karina melts into Winter's hold when she started to use her tongue. It's a little sloppy but Winter managed to hit all her weak spot. Karina accidentally moans into the kiss. Her hand runs down to her chest ever so slowly, down to her waist, scanning the short haired girl's curves.

"whoa..." Karina pulls away, feeling like she couldn't stop if she continues. "I never thought you're a good kisser."

"so that's a yes?" Winter looks up at her.

"yes, love."

Wendy walks into Winter's bedroom, seeing her on the bed, smiling to herself with a phone on her hand.

"I feel like sun... on my skin... so this is love... I know it is..." Wendy sings, teasing her sister.

"can you shut up?" Winter looks back at her.

"hey, you should thank me. If I didn't push you, you would be in a misery right now." Wendy lays down beside her.

"I appreciate it, but, can you be less annoying?"

"no, I can't." Wendy ruffles her hair. "shouldn't you be working on something?"

"oh, yeah." Winter replied. She's still on her place, though, not moving to her desk.

"then, go. You said you wanna finish your study early." Wendy reminded her as a sister. She's trying to be a better sister for Winter.

"hey, you can text her again later." Wendy looks at her. "move your ass."

"ugh!" Winter groans, walking towards her desk. When she sits down, she grabs her phone again, texting with Karina.

"Winter...." Wendy warned. "I'm helping you here."

"okay! fine." Winter sets aside her phone.

"I want you to have a girlfriend to cheer you up. Get that spirit going. Not to become a lazy love sucker." Wendy reminded. "I know you need someone for that."

"what are you trying to do here?" Winter asked.

"just... be a normal sister. For you." Wendy replied honestly.

"right." Winter goes back to her work.

"can I ask you something?" Wendy looks at her from the bed. "why do you want a girlfriend? I see that you're okay on your own."

"how do you know I'm okay?" Winter raised an eyebrow. "it's just nice to have someone to be there for me, listening to all my problems and just accompany me."

"aren't you just lonely?"

Winter stays silent. It does feel like something is missing when she's alone. She just thought that it's because she doesn't have a partner, so her life is empty.

"do you have a hobby? Like, something fun that you do on your free time." Wendy asked.

"like, sleeping? I don't have that much free time." Winter shrugs.

"what if your edits for this week are all done? You must have something to do on the weekends." Wendy asked again.

"well... I went to the mall a few times. Don't know what makes it fun."

"so it's a you problem." Wendy sits up. "you don't need a girlfriend, sis."

"I probably not need it but it's nice. I love being with her." Winter defended herself.

"what about her? do you love her?"

"why does it matter? I'm certain of my feelings for her and that is..." Winter stops. She hasn't really felt love before. She never think about it.

"so all your problems are a 'you' problem." Wendy sighs. "get ready. We're going out."

"what?" Winter raised an eyebrow, looking at her.

"you need to find something other than your work. I'm an expert at having fun. Trust me."
